Nadeen has shown up with food that weekend. The Browns aren't the greatest cooks, but they're not bad.

"Dagmar?" She looks about the Barn

"Hey!"

Dagmar grins when she spots the Varich.

"Hey is Tove okay?" She says "I heard rumor she FELL? Are you and Jaymes all right?"

The nromally cold sidhe looks..worried!

"She fell." Confirming.

"Clem and Kerri both checked her out. And she had a day by the bale..."

"I brought stew, it's still on the spicey side, it's more Russian... mother helped me make it.. I don't know if it will taste great but it's healthy"

"Russian? I'm sure she'll like it. It'll be new."

'That's what I was hoping" Nadeen sets the food down, and then gives Dagmar a hug "I'm sorry I didn't hear about it until now. I know I can be distant, but Tove is...well, she's your Tove." She says with understanding "And you must have been so worried."

"Terrified." She confesses, and queezes Nadeen back.

"Who wouldn't be?" She tells her then says "Has Tove been stubborn or has she been listening to you?" It would appear Nadeen knows how things might have gone down.

She grumps. "Stubborn. Trolls."

"Story of my life" she says and strokes Dagmar's cheek, "Fine. How else can I help you help her?"

"Um..."

"Connor has been around during school..."

"He has? Good boy" Then a cough "i'm sorry, I could have worded that differently"

"She acts like she can just do whatever..."

"Ohhh... I won't tell, it's fine."

"I think Tove's so used to taking care of folks, her father first on Thyle, then things here, she's not used to being tended to her herself" Nadeen says with that certainty that sidhe have.

"That makes sense..."

"You may have to be subtle about it to get around that stubbornness" She picks up the food "KItchen counter or fridge for later? It reheats easy"

"TOVE, DAD,YOU HUNGRY? NADEEN BROUGHT FOOOOOD!"

Subtle.

"Or that" Nadeen says

Tove comes out of the master bedroom "Nadeen is here? Oh she didn't have to make food this is.. I can still cook."

"No, it's special Russian stew! Wanna try it? Or we can save it for dinner and make sandwiches for lunch..."

"I'll try some," she says comikng in "Have you cleaned your room? "

"Um. Define clean?"

"I'll go up and look" Tove heads towards the stairs "I'll be back for the stew, you two talk"

"No, no - it's clean! Just some laundry. You stay, I'll get it."

"I... it's no trouble," Tove says but she does stop. "I can just throw some of the laundry in myself"

"We'll get it," nadeen volunteers to go along with Dagmar "You spice the stew to how you like" and she readies to follow Dagmar up the stairs

"Fine fine" Tove says holding up her hands

"Taste it, Nadeen said she made it spicy!" Heading upstairs to hastily collect laundry.

And Nadeen goes with her, once it's just them up there, she says "I see why you worry. She's a handful"

Dag tosses socks and t-shirts into the basket. "Right? Stubborn!"

"I can see the family resemblance" Nadeen agrees. Humor in her eyes.

Blush, shrug, grin.

"I admit, while i never want harm to come to Tove, it ..well, I did want to see you again before this. "A blush of her own "School is crazy, barely get any time with the cheerleading"

"So crazy. Are they - is everybody being cool?"

"Oh about us at the dance? " She says "most are, and I don't care about anyone who doesn't like it, though no one has openly proclaimed themselves a homophobe"

"Yeah, me neither."

"A few make it like it's this amazing 'brave' thing. Idiots. I WANT to dance with you. I'm quite selfish about this, thank them very much."

"Annoying." Harrumph.

"You too ? It's like.. folks are acting like we're pioneers in the ancient times of the 1980s." SHe puffs"Our culture isn't that primitive"

"Exactly. There are other gay kids..."

"And I'm not.. I mean.."

She makes a face.
