"Agreed, Symon" Colton says "And yes, Chief"

Colton looks a bit stunned but his brow knits and he appears to be ready to work.

"Tradition is one thing, but it can hold you back. How strong might a Lodge be with a literal Mountain for a Mountain? Or a thane that can roam on four legs as easily as two?" A shrug. "Thoughts, I guess, to grow on."

Colton gives Symon a pleading look, "Symon, I'm not the smartest guy, let me start simple, please?"

Brekke nods and rests a hand on Colton's shoulder. "Then turn to the balefire...and state your intent."

A small smile and a shrug. "If I go easy on you, I'd have to for everyone." But he quiets, to let the ceremony continue.

ANd colton swears to guard the hold until the rightful Chieftain is selected, to act as regent and to follow the escheat and look after the hold, the land, and yes, the people while he does so.

The flames dance.. and flare blue green

Brekke takes a deep breath of satisfaction as the flames recognize that they are cared for.

Frank puts a hand on Colton's shoulder. "Well done."

The motley gapes in wonder. As the hold itself grows strong..vibrant and takes on a new face

More fortress than lodge... it stands against the dark for all

but lodge it is.. much to Symon's possible muttering 😉

"And now...let us see about finding you reinforcements and support." Brekke looks to Frank. "We must speak to Chieftain Clem."

Colton nods and thinks Sparrow's gonna KILL me... I got regented without permission!

Frank nods. "Sylvi will want to come."

“You’d better text her. They might be worried.”

"Yeah" He says "Oh wow, like a dozen messages.."

And his phone buzzes as he looks: TXT: I swear, you better not be dead!!!

He jumps "WOw. I am in trouble."

TXT: Not dead. I'll explain everything. We're all alive. Lodge is saved. Wild ride.

Meanwhile, the simple 'commander's quarters' of the fort become quite the spacey master bedroom for the lodge

Symon also texts Dagmar: remind me never to quest with trolls again... without you to keep them in check. Not dead, tho.

He also texts SPARROW TXT: _ My liege. I'm sorry. I've complicated everything. I Hope you won't be mad. Chieftain can explain_

Stonehands is making 'symonshapes' with his hands to get the measurement, then nods

Brekke volunteers to fund a supply run if the local motley members can make it happen. "You will need foodstuffs and supplies."

The Eiluned smiles "Symon, it was a pleasure meeting you. Just remember, Guile heroes are the most interesting" She nods to the others "Good day,"A bow to the baroness brekke

And the motley nods, This they can do.

THough the Hearth would be appalled that mcnuggets and twinkies are seen as crucials

"Colton, you will need to ensure security on that.... Dark."

"I want a weaver ward and five tons of cement.." Colton says then adds "Sir."

A short chuff. "I can help with the concrete."

Colton smiles

"Thank you, Sir. He looks at the Gwydion Knight, "Dame? Are you staying?"

"I am, until you wish to dismiss me. A gwydion should be assisting, and the Chieftain has her own hold"

Frank carefully reveals no expression at this.

The door swings open, Olgar comes with his axe "Okay! I'm here! What's the..."

"Emergency?" He looks about at the hold

Brekke blinks at him. "Rover?"

"Why are you here?"

"Because my daughter said 'daddy please'" Annoyed at himself "And I folded like a lawnchair in a hurricane"

Colton blinks "Ah, she did?" he looks back at older messages 'Oh.w.ow.. uhm. sorry?"

Olgar says "I want the whole story"

While olgar interogates the new regent.. .Frank and Brekke join stone hands as he makes a statue of symon.
