Colton says "I feel like I just cheated.. but, thank you"

Brekke's five fingers flex on her silver hand

Brekke blinks at her own hand, startled at the unexpected repair.

"My thanks," she rumbles. "Colton, do you feel well enough to stand?"

"Well enough" He says looking at the blue flame "It's unclaimed."

Stonehands says "The first peoples here honor the pact with the sons and daughters of Danu." HE looks at the motely "We will not aid any other who tries"

She nods to Frank to set the boy on his feet again, and then turns to regard the blazing flame. "Yes. We will soon be beset with challengers." She looks around the group.

The eshu wakes up "Did we win?"

A nod to Stonehands. "Again, my thanks." Then a grin. "It has been a long time, my friend."

Stonehands nods, "It is." he glances at Frank, "This one? He is your other heart?"

Symon frowns, but he remains silent.

She nods. "He is. This is Frank King." A hand on Frank's arm.

The nocker says "Hey, not to be rude or nothing, but you guys are kind of asshats"

An eyebrow at the nocker. "I have been told that by your kith before, yes." She looks to the fire again. "We must settle the regency of this flame."

Stonehands nods to Frank "Well we wondered if anyone would take this gentle heart into care.. I see she has found one who saw to that heart. It is, I trust, a bit late to say 'treat her well or I will hear of it'" humor

The nocker snorts "The squigglier here saved the day as much as 'Man at arms' there"

"He was busting his ass" The nocker said... "Got the plan"

He looks at Symon, who may yor may not have vanished

He shrugs a bit. "I'd support your claim, but it sounds like someone made the decision already" A moment, and he remarks, "At least there are worse things than a lodge run by trolls."

Stonehands looks at the puny puny sluagh. Rock Giants are troll sized themselves. He seems to be measuring

A nod, "Your heroism will also be remembered. Squiggler. I will have the statue ready soon"

"Ah, his name isn't actually squi..." Colton starts to say

The Nocker says "For free? Sold!"

A bemused look at Stonehands. "I should be embarassed by this, but I am not." Then Brekke looks to Symon. "You have done great work this day, Symon. I will remember this."

Symon looks confused by this talk of statues, and a little taken aback. Rather, he steers the conversation back around. "So who will rule here? An unclaimed bale is just asking for trouble."

The pooka barks 'The Colton kith is true orange. I'm chaging my vote faster than the GOP gerrymanders..."But he does seem to support the trolls

"Colton's sacrifice was honorable and effective. I suggest that he claim the balefire as regent until we determine its permanent holders."

The nocker groans

"An honor to meet you, Stonehands." As he sets Colton down and undrapes the eshu to set him down gently as well.

And he nods agreement to Colton-as-Regent.

"I'm just a squire" he says startled "Can I BE a regent?"

The Eiluned sighs "Sadly, yes"

Frank nods.

Brekke nods as well. "It need not be a noble hold in the end. You may hold it as untitled commoner, if it came to that."

"House Eiluned will yield it's claim, as long an Eiluned Troll is made part of this lodge" The Eiluned says

"Noted," Brekke nods to the Eiluned.

"What do you say?" she asks the members of the motley.

"The lodge would welcome non-trolls though, wouldn't it? What about an Eiluned sidhe?" Like a sore wound, he can't help but keep poking at it.

The Eiluned grins at Symon "You, I like you"

The nocker says 'Fine, the motley's too divided to fuss but we want first right over some stranger to rest here"

"That is for the lodge elders to decide, once they are chosen. But I believe so, yes."

Colton says "look.. while I'm regent, and I Hope that's not long... I'm going to see that right of haven is respected here."

Brekke's brows furrow. "I do not understand. You mean...local commoners have right to the balefire over visitors? What of right of haven?"

"So any kith is welcome if they behave" He says "Is..did I get that reight chief?"

"I mean if some stranger walks up and needs a bale, or one of the motley needs the bale, we get picked first, all other things equal..we've been starving nearly for a year" The nocker says

"Not the right of Safe haven- that's a given. A promise to accept the locals who needs a hold here, whether they are troll or not." He adds, "Assuming that they follow whatever your lodge rules are. I think that would be fair."

Brekke nods to Colton. "And I believe the local fae have a right to first claim in such a situation. Do you agree, Squire Colton?"
