Adam laughs. "Oh, ok. You let me know if you need anything and be ready when we hafta leave, ok? And if you want a ride-along, let me know."

"Will do" And Nab heads off

"What about you, miss? You want Raindrop?" The Pet seller says

"Oh, I really do!" With regret.

"Well, we can settle on price, " Bob says

"Dag, take this if it helps." He hands his dross over to her.

"That's not it. There's the Lodge's horses, and TwoBit, and Odin, and Snow..."

"And?"

"That's a lot?"

"I guess..... but she's tiny."

"And precious..."

"Oh..well, if you need to ask your family?" Bob says "I will be here for another few hours? After that, well, we go on."

"How about we find your mom and dad and at least see what they think?"

She bites her thumb, but nods. "Okay."

"C'mon..... Where would your folks be?" Adam leads her away.

"They were by Bardic..."

"Ok, let's head back there." And they do.

Sure enough they find Tove and Jaymes talking "..going to take it easy" "are you kidding? I Need to make as many videos as possible while I can before.." Then they turn. Dagmar doesn't walk quietly.

"Hi, Mr. and Mrs. King." Adam greets them and then leaves it to Dag.

"Heyyyyy.:

"Hey?" Jaymes says

"Hello, you two," Tove says

"Dad, can I have a chimerical pet?"

Jaymes looks pollaxed then "I..what?"

Tove laughs at something, "What's another mouth to feed?" Teasing her husband

"There's this tiny pegasus..."

"How tiny?" Dubious dad.

"Her name is Raindrop, she's even smaller than Odin!"

"won't odin try to eat her?" Jaymes says

"Well, she can fly?"

"Why don't we go check it out," Tove says "See what this little.. ah Raindrop is like?"

"Yes! I have dross, Chief gave me some!"

"Well, mm " Jaymes can respect that but "Don't want you to just spend money on the first thing you see"

"It wasn't the first. There was a blacksmith, too..."

"Mm " ("let's go then") Jaymes rises, and almost tenderly helps Tove up, as if she were injured.

She looks at him, and fusses and then moves on.

The group of them head back to Bob.

Adam tags along.

"She's sleeping now, she had a sugar buzz..."

Bob says "yes, I'm afraid you wont' see her at her most lively"

Tove looks and goes "oh, what an unusual color for winged horse"

"mm grumph MMM?" (The thing's the size of a lunchbox and you think the impressive thing is the coloration?) Jaymes blinks

"Right? She's beautiful. And very sweet!"

"And I know all about taking care of horses, but she's much, much smaller..."

"Oh she's precious," Tove says "Does she bite or kick?"

"Oh she's actually very shy, poor dear. But she rather likes gentle fingers along the feathers as long as it's with the feathers not against them" Bob says

Jaymes coughs "What's she.. DO?"

"Pardon?" Bob says

"I mean, she doesn't chase mice, bark alarms, and she's too big to ride so ..what's she good for?" Jaymes asks

"Jaymes," Tove says, still fascinated
