While Adam and Dagmar watch the jousting, another assistant to another knight says "Damn, your knight is good"

Adam starts to respond, then realizes it might not be HIM the assistant is talking to, and stays quiet.

Only then does he relaize the assitannt isn't kithain... but kinian, probably boggan blooded. Enchanted.

Adam settles for a shrugging, slow nod.

The Assistant , sensing silence, seems to take this as a snub and looks away

Adam looks uncertainly at Sam.

The assistant mutters something but tends to his duties

"Chief's a Baroness, but yeah. She's amazing. Adam, you can talk - he talked first, right?"

((Assuming this is before Brekke lifted the prohibition...))

"Wasn't sure if he was talking to me, but... yeah. Yeah, she's good."

"Oh... I understand restrictions. You weren't just dictumed not to talk?"

"Dictum?" Affronted.

"I wasn't... what?" Adam may be hearing a different word.

"Well, someitmes a command has to be enforced" the fellow says, "I'm Larry. by the way."

THen Larry said "Truth I thought you went' talking because you were sidhe blood and I'm just a boggan blood... which i found a bit snotty. Sorry, glad I was wrong about that"

"Sam?" Checking about that word?

"Dictum is a cantrip - like, forces you to obey orders."

"We don't do that at Rivervale."

"Nice to meet you, Larry. I'm Dagmar, this is Adam - he's still pretty new to the world, and we did tell him not to talk to strangers, basically."

"OHhhhhh..... Sorry, man, I thought you ... were saying something else. Hey." He lifts a hand in greeting.

"Oh. I understand better now," Larry says bowing to Dagmar, "Thank you, Dagmar."

"Uh. Which one is your knight?" He asks Larry.

He points "Lady Rosemyr Lowe" A nod .

Adam's expression suggests he -knows- this is not a good idea but.... he looks in the direction Larry nods anyway.

She looks, curious.

Adam's brain melts. He serves her now.

Okay, not really, but blonde and beauitful... the woman looks like a fairy tale princess merged with a round table knight

"So what hold are you representing?" Dagmar checks for heraldry - house or hold. Larry may or may not notice that Dag wears spurs - she didn't introduce herself with a title.

"You lucky son of a bitch....." Adam manages to mutter.

"She kind of haunts my dreams" He admits. Then "oh... Scarsdale"

"Alabastor Hollow" He corrects

"Scarsdale? I think Siv's friend is from there."

"So... Dougal?"

"The hold is Dougal but she's not."

"Yeah?"

Is that a golden owl?

Adam sighs.

"Aesin. " He says "Though her name isn't very scandinavian"

Squint. "Oh yeah."

"Rivervale is Gwydion - we have other houses, too, but..." Shrug.

"She can talk to forest creatures. She's thinking of moving us to another hold."

"Yeah? Talking to creatures would be cool. We have a Varich... well, presumed Varich, She's not sained yet."

"Varich? Cold House to be sure, maybe even colder than..." But Larry stops

"Nadeen?" He guesses absently, eyes still glued.

"Yeah, Nadeen."

"Colder than what? Aesin? I've not met any of them in person yet."

Larry is glowing "it behooves me not ot speak ill of my betters. Pray forgive"

She rolls her eyes. "Not speaking ill if it is honest. But anyhow - do you know.. oh shoot.. it's not Sarah... um. Sluagh? White hair?"

"Sluagh with white hair? I.. one of the Master Nockers has a family member who is a sluagh but she's rather ordinary I hear"

She shrugs. "She's Siv's friend."

"What's she like?"
