The first week has been intense - orientations, book-buying, new faces upon new faces upon new faces... but she has spotted some fae in the mix...

Indeed, and she's pretty sure she's been spied on. But by what or who?

And, of course, Bronte has been shown the Vassar library. Perhaps not so grand as the one in the deep dream... but it holds its own beuty & charm.

Oh, hard to spy on a sluagh unnoticed...

A chimerical bird with bright silver eyes flittered about. At first, it seemed to be random in its paterns, but after a while, the flycatcher bird definitely proved to be..counting.

Zara watches... and hides from it.

Magically, if need be.

Not 'easily' done' but done... and frankly, the game of it allows certain spice.

And when she follows it, she notices it seems to go into a knothole of a tree on campus a lot.

Zara investigates the tree - kenning it.

Oh it has glamour... a passage, big enough only for something small to get through

Or perhaps one who squirms

...Zara is very squirmy. And curious.

What a handy combination... Earl would stress if he knew.

But she's learned with trolls sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

And in she slithers..squirms ... and drops down into what seems to be a nesting ayrie , oh much smaller than the one at Earth Runes, and not a Varich in sight (thank the Dreaming)

Six nests, six birds, and they go over to a primative type writer, and que up to type away with their beaks to make reports

Then one flies off out a passage to another part of the college

Still veiled, she creeps up to see what they are typing

Ironically, though mostly flycatchers or other local forms , they're acting like Secretary birds... if one appreciates Puns.

They type, then take the paper out and put it in a pile. The pile is thin , meaning someone retrieves them.

And Zara reads a few lines...

A tiny smile.

But also... just who is looking for her?

Someone will retrieve them.. and Zara can follow the paperwork...

Indeed, as predicted, the papers must pile up, the birds fly by...

And then a boggan walks in. Dressed in tweed, and looking like 'every college professor from an 70s movie' he is otherwise unimpressive. he has glasses.

"How goes, boys and girls? Good news? " He looks over and reads "Mmm yes yes.. oh my, Miss Scwhartz is hiding from you lot is she? Oh well, she's got to show up for class"

She studies the boggan... is he a teacher here?

She thinks he might be. Oh my. His mortal guise. SHe's pretty sure he teaches one of her classes.

Her eyes narrow and she works a little pattern with her fingers. An omen.

The omen flows and she receives a vision itno this boggan's true nature.... a follower of sorts, but not an unthinking one no. He is loya to his liege and love his position. He is potent...

Loyalist boggan. And she knows this place has a baron... Eiluned.

And he has a gift.. for he turns "What... mmm odd..."

She stays hidden in her veil, watching him with distrust.

"Something... my spine is tingling .... I wonder if the old ways will work? mmm Hello. Anyone not avian in here with me?"

SILENT GLARE.

"Perhaps you'd like a nice cup of tea?" He suggests...eyes probing

A hand motion? A bunk?

then the birds flutter and flow about... feathers fall...

blast and bother she...

"Oh, there you are." The boggan says calmly, "Do come out where I can see you dear. Miss Scwhartz I assume? it's really the most likely deduction."

Oh, she's ruffled. To expose a sluagh against their will? It doesn't take boggan senses to feel that affront.

She rises from her crouch with chilly dignity, ink-black eyes burning like ice.

"You do realize it's a boggan's right to pry just as much as it's a sluagh's to privacy? And you did come into my work place? Now, please. Let me offer some tea and we can chat and start off on a better foot."

"I followed a stalking bird who surveiled upon me. If you wish not visitors, send not spies."

"That's a fair point, a very fair point," He admits, "But some realms are protected by shields and swords, some by diplomacy, and a few by spies. If it is any point of pride to you, apparently you were giving snitchet fits" He looks over at one bird, "I think you were i ndanger of causing a premature molt I'm Professor Plumm, and before you say anything, yes I'm aware of the board game and movie. I find entertainment in both. "
