"Well, you really think I was going to let you touch my tools without making sure he wasn't just a love sick boy exagerating? He saved my friend, sure, but this is MY dream" She gestures to the stuff

"That's why she's getting mentioned a lot in the reviews" Kolette agrees.

"Okay, that makes sense, yeah." Sylvi takes a seat near Kollete. "Tell me what happened with your friend?"

"Don't get used to fame if you work in the back with us," Collete says "Well, not among the public. We're the strings that hold the stars up rather than the stars themselves. That's right. I'm gravity"

Kolette laughs at her sisters, then says "Oh sure...well, Lin Lin has this wonderful eye for patterns.... but while she was picking it out some... this racist asshole shows up..." Her face grows serious as she describes a satyr who tried to ravage the young woman through a combination of racism and objectifying... to sti8r her anger to the point where he gave him free rent in her head... even if it meant weakening her dreams.

"Well...I think gravity is pretty important." Sylvi grins. But it's true...this wouldn't be a completely satisfying path for her, maybe, but it would be a fun option.

The story brings a frown. "That's creepy."

"MAJOR Creepy. Your gent, very gallant, came on the scene, and not only stopped the satyr... he helped her balance herself. I was impressed, not to disparage, but while many of your kith is great at protecting, it's something extra to also help restore. Lin Lin could have had a fine future tarnished and sucked dry by that that ravager."

Colette snorts , "Frankly he's lucky I didn't catch him. I know where to put needles in places perverts don't want. "

Sylvi nods thoughtfully. "Colton...well...he wants to do right by people. He used to try to do it mostly through being strong and tough, but...well...I'm really glad he was able to help her really heal up."

"He says he had Liam training... I guess I've been too hard on that house in the past" Kolette admits.

"Yeah...he's squired to a Liam, and he studied with a Liam back at my Lodge. Your friend, Lin Lin...is she part of this theater, too?"

"Part time. She's hoping to become an interior decorator... I mentioned the eye for patterns right?"

"Right. That would make sense. You're musing her?"

"Oh yes... though I gave her a break after that incident... just a lot of gentle assurances." She says "We don't have a regular hold so it's important to help the dreamers."

"Yeah. I've heard good things about the Baroness here. Well, the Baronesses, really."

"The mother has better dresses but the daughter sure can paint" Collete says as if that's what matters

Kolette grins "She's all right and the few times one of us has needed hold, she's never turned us aside."

"Either of them really"

"Cool."

As the show unwinds, the pay off spoken off proves to be everything they said it would be. Mortals by the score carried away by a story that will now stay with them- in their dreams.

Sylvi drinks in her share, feeling wowed and honored by the opportunity.

And Colton moves to her, "I saw your work" He grins "at least, I was told the wrinkle was yours. " A wink "Want to go find some place to eat and call your folks?"

Overwhelmed, she agrees, and makes sure to say farewells and thank yous to everybody she worked with, especially Kollete. "I'm going to email you soon, okay?"

"Please do, you are a delight." Kolette says.

"Here, let me help you out of that," Collette says to Jeff.

"What, and ruin the lapel?" Jeff asks.

Thank goodness for the Dame on security "if you kill him it affects our insurance...!"

Sylvi laughs and lets Colton escort her away from a wonderful, wonderful experience.

And he laughs with her and...
