The recital goes beautifully, Adelaide is not a natural musician like some satyrs or clurichauns, but rather got there by practice, discipline, and drive. Which mgiht make Thea all the more proud. Vali, dressed in a nice tux and by her side, certainly looks impressed as the young lady plays.

Adelaide's older 'cousins', Fae all and Thea's usual bodyguards, are scattered throughout the audience as well.

They gather together after the recital; Thea has promised Adelaide ice cream!

Adelaide curtseys for the audience as applause comes her way. Ah, a bit more social than some Eiluned this one- it might yet be an edge. Especially since she is proving to work hard for the magics. After it is over, they do indeed gather for ice cream, and now fee to talk openly, Adelaide smiles, "Did you like the piece, Sir Vali? "

"I did. " He says "It's one of Auntie Thea's favorites, if I recall?" A look to Thea, "Or is that the other piece by the composer?" A smily as if there there were only two to choose from

"Happily, it is one of my favorites, yes. We have been hearing it a great deal, recently."

"I shall try not to over do," Adelaide assures. "May I have strawbery and dark chocolate mixed please?"

"Of course." Thea gives the waitress the orders, and instructs her to bring the larger entourage's checks to her. "My treat."

"Thank you," Adelaide tries not to show too much excitement but it is clear her eyes light up. "I enjoy the contrast"

"You don't have to excuse any flavor combos to me," Vali says with a smile, "When I was your age, I used to put sweet and sour sauce on shrimp fried rice." he lowers his voice "As your mentor discovered when we had chinese together. She did cure me of having ketchup put on the best steak though."

"One should hope" the girl says

"You were a trial." Amused.

"Was he truly?" Adelaide says intrigued.

"Marginally." She admits.

"I could be quite vexing and only my endearing qualities kept me from being sealed in a tower I suspect" The knight admits. Ice cream dishes to each specifications are brought forward. Adelaide does inquire about some of Vali's faux pauses. And he confesses a few when mortals are out of earshot. Feet tangled into the drapes. Trying to feed red hot candies to a dragon. The great banister slide race with other childlings and he adds, "At times I still use A1 on steak. Totally acceptable"

"Don't let our chefs hear you say that" Adie informs him.

"If a steak needs an addition like that, you need a different steak. However. I would venture that sort of thing, in moderation, on a hamburger is.... acceptable."

"Practically reformer talk" Vali feigns shock at her venture. "I shall try to keep my more unsavory habits from sight of the kitchen staff while I visit."

Ah, there is an opening, but shoudl she wait until the ice cream is done and she can talk to Vali alone?

".... which I do hope will be soon, and often."

At that , he smiles "I have been a bit less frequent than I like"

Adelaide notices something is being put forth. Good. She's catching onto adult conversation more and more, but she doesn't know the fullness of it. Not yet.

"Miss Tiffany certainly thinks so" Adelaide adds anyway. Knowing enough to support

"Well, I know you are busy." Ice cream arrives.

"I thought the summer would be less so but there's always something for a french teacher/novelist/neer do well" He thanks the server and takes his ice cream.

It's quite good, of course, and Adelaide delights in hers happy and content. Indulgences like this are not to be overly sampled, but when the time is there? Well, what Eiluned does not sate herself a bit in indulgence when it is earned?

Akanthea has chosen peppermint and chocolate.

"When does school resume for you?"

"In two weeks" He says "The girls are lamenting an unfairly and cruely short summer"

Adelaide says "Some of us don't get even that" thinking of her own classes

A nostalgic smile. "I remember."

"Gerd loves her gifts by the way. "

"I'm glad."

"She should visit more often too" Adelaide says

Vali looks suscipisous at something. He's a perceptive one. But he says "Well, with her talents she can visit more often."

"She is certainly welcome." Thea assures.

"Thank you, this is good" he smiles and enjoys. "Actually, Adelaide, maybe you should visit her. Fresh air, enjoy some of the warmth while Jersey is still having a warm season"

Thea says nothing, but tastes her ice cream.

"Well, if it's okay with my mo..Guardian" Adealide says

She nods. "You may visit, of course. We'll work it out."

"I should play your favorite music more often" The girl says a touch cheeky but she adds a sincere " I thank you"

Adeliade either feigns, or IS tired... hard to tell... and after the ice cream gives both hugs and goes to change to bed once they are at the hold. If intentional, the girl could not have provided a better moment to catch the Beaumayn alone.

They stayed out for ice cream, but it doesn't have to be a long stop.

"You'll stay the night, I hope?" to Vali after the young lady is gone.

He smiles, "I can. But.. if I may? Is it showing?" The smile falters.

Thea watches him for a long, long, long moment.

Then nods.

"And... you might have also been looking in on me anyway" He suspects but does not seem offended, "I am told that my togail must be soon or I endanger myself. But with ..shall we say, a more mature seeming, there are changes. I'm not sure I will like them all"
