"Then anything is possible. Come on. to the police station, it's our only lead"

A smirk "I don't think the boy appreciated being kept from this."

"Not really worried about what he appreciates." Frank gets in the Rig, keys up. "You safe to go in a cop shop?"

"Bout as safe as you are..." Jaymes says "I'm just saying, that if we find Bancroft with a pig pooka on a stick over a fire, don't be surprised."

"Wouldn't be." Frank takes them to the station Ford would likely have processed in.

They go there and see the police. The cops here are buried in paperwork...he notices one female police offers scratching down the day's log. SHe's closest. But there are others.

"Excuse me, Officer." Frank takes off his ball cap. "Do you have a moment?"

"Certainly" Glamour flickers in her eyes as she sees Frank... then she looks at the most wanted poster, "Shit! " She scrambles for her gun "Guys, Louis The Slasher Sullivan is here!"

THere IS a Louis the SLasher SUllivan on the most wanted poster... but frank doesn't look a thing like him

Frank blinks, startled, and shows his open hands. "I'm not Louis anyone! I'm Frank King."

"He admits it... " One cop says the glamour leaping from the wanted poster to affect that one as well

Guns are being drawn as one by one, the poster seems to spread a fuddle!

"Shit...." Frank runs for it, out the door, jumps the steps, and down the street.... if he can.

Apparently Jaymes is ignored so he tries to close the door "RUn for it Frank"

He does.

One cop fires at him, but Frank turns a tight corner, books and keeps going. Frank gets away. The irony? No one will trace the rig to the Slasher... and he's sure that fuddle will only last so long

Frank still has a turn of speed on him. He gets clear and slows to a casual walk, catching his breath. Figures he'll circle back when the cantrip is likely to expire.

Oh some police cars go out.. and Frank waits a bit further. He hears a voice

"Hey, cute stuff, it's so much easier if you lean back and think of England..." A woman's voice from an alcove/alley

Frank has bigger problems that a hooker in the hallway. He's dealt with lot lizards before.

So he does.

So frank waits

Then he feels a rush of glamour

from that alleywayy

-That- gets his attention and he turns, on guard.

And he sees a pig pooka girl...stroking Bancroft's hair. His eyes seem dazed, unable to focus as she is working some kind of chicanery on him. Apparently he did wound her, she's got a gash across her arm. Funny thing? She looks like pure innocence, but he's pretty sure this is Prudence aka Penny aka the partner to Slip. Bancroft found her first... but she's overcome his will, at least temporarily.

Frank has his tire trapper. "Alright now. Let him go." Low.

"Oh... the big bad wolf" She pouts "Why you gotta pick on innocent girl like me? Don't come any closer... you have bad breath, and it might kill him" Prudence warns, "you hang back there and this little piggy will go wee wee all the way home with... mmm a prize for my good behavior."

"Nope. You might get away, but not with him. That is what they call a non-starter."

She locks eyes with Frank

The 'innocent' girl is not, but she sees something in Frank she's not ready to cross. Perhaps talk of the hunted who became the hunter have helped his notority in her circles. She backs away, "Heard about your daughter's nappy time" A gloat "SOOOO sorry." Ands she claps her hands

And vanishes... leaving a confused Scathach coming out of his daze.

Frank lunges forward as the pooka bunks but..... ends up with a handful of Scathach instead. Damn.

mMPH

bancroft hisses, "The witch... I almost had her and.." he looks up to see Frank, "Oh. It's you."

"Yeah." Frank sets the Sidhe down.

The young man smooths his garb and armor.

Frank peeks out to see if there's been additional pursuit.

It would appear not, "You should be careful," Bancroft says "The pooka is skilled at more than one art"

"Apparently so." Not without a dry amusement. "How'd she get you?"

He gathers up some of her spilled blood with a vial "Actually, I got her first... but she did some sort of ..chicanery on me in retalation"

"Powerful stuff." He observes.

"Could have been something as simple as a fuddle... for a moment I was with her... with her in my arms. I Barely wanted to fight it" The normally stoic young man seems to be more freely agitated.

Frank grunts.

"I'm going to Veil and head back. You need a lift?"

"Depends... are we sharing leads or is this just a lift?"

Frank scratches his beard, looking at the Sidhe and thinking.

Eventually he sighs. "Not sure yet. Come on." He leads the way (carefully!) back to the Rig and, hopefully, Jaymes.

Jaymes is waiting at the rig, "Bout time you got here... mmm.. I see you picked up our stalking horse."

"Good to see you too, sir." Bancroft says coolly but not impolitely
