August gets a Text

Bzzt Hey, Earl here. Obvs. Wanted to know when you'd be free for something if you were interested

*Bzzt* Sure. What's up?

Bzzt Want to visit Paris, pick up Caspian, look at what ever relic he took out of a recent blaze to save it?

*Bzzt* WHAT?!!?!?!?

The phone rings.

Earl picks up "Hi"

"I've seen the news but... Caspian??"

"Sometimes we foget he's an Eshu. Traveling, right place at the right time... saw fire going...leaped in like an idiot, got a bit burned but grabbed 'some relic with glamour' and ... now apparently he's hurt and hiding"

"A what with what?!?! Ok, yes, let's go!"

"Meet at Firnost, aye? Marguerite's trod will lead us hence."

Earl repeats that if Zara's whisper can't be heard with an addendum of "Zara says"

Then adds "August, you do know that that part of France is said to be..well, very sidhe controlled I think, like traditionalist. We may need you to be a face."

A huff.

Earl gives her an apologetic look, but mouths 'you know we might, sorry'

A pause. "I'm not a good face, Earl. And Zara. I'm Liam." Another pause "I'm eager to go but... pick someone else, if it would work better."

"Tell him I want him to go."

"I would have no other sidhe. And this is a holy relic, aye?"

Earl nods to Zara then says "Zara says SHE wants you to go. SHe's not going to have any other sidhe doing this. Besides, it's a HOLY Relic.. you're the expert there, the only one we have. I know art, she knows, well a lot, but this is your bag. "

He interupts Earl somewhere around 'SHE wants you....' "Yes. Now?"

A quirk of a smile.

Earl wonders if he should worry about this sometimes, then looks to Zara "now?"

"When?" Earl can fairly feel August vibrating over the phone.

"Of course now."

Earl blushes "Yes, now" He says into the phone

"I'm on the way!" And the phone disconnects.

OOC Do we want to go to Firnost or just.... go?

"Well. We did say we wanted to see Paris..." She rises and reaches for her troll's hand.

((Cannot access firnost at work))

"He's eager" Earl says "mmph." But when Zara takes his hand he smiles "Let's go then, love. "

"I have heard the sewers are fascinating..."

((Meh. For my money, press on here. However, will sleep soon.))

"I should bring my phantom of the opera mask" He says as they move towards firnost

"Oh, let it not be Weber..."

A chuckle "Hey, say what you want about the man but at least he made it popular enough even a poor artist nerd in Iowa got to hear it"

"I suppose."

"The hack."

And off they go to Firnost!

Earl smiles adoringly as his lady makes her own views known.

(end/pause etc)

Dika-Hannah is repulsive, but she appreciates the food and has a sweet soul.

"Thank you again, Hearth Kerri"

"It's my pleasure. I'm glad you're here visiting with us." And she's quietly grateful for the attractive hood the girl wears, which allows her to eat with too much of her face showing. And then feels terrible about that thought.

"Thank you for arranging it, you and mr davidson," Dika-Hannah says "It's really warm down here"

The Chieftain nods. "Delicious, as always, Hearth." She finishes and sets aside her utensils. "Dika-Hannah, we have heard some of what StarBear is like from Sylvi...but how are relations between the fae and the Nunnehi there now?"

Kerri responds, "Again, happy to do it." And she gives Sylvi a smile.
