"Or..." Siv says "I could keep the Cutlass, and.. help you catch her using me and it as bait"

"Well, since your father is tuned out right now, sure, let's talk about putting you in danger in one of my schemes to entrap a Leanhaun" Jude ponders agreeably

"Not tuned out, Excellency. She's not a childling. She can make her own decisions."

"Just testing" Jude says with a smile. Then a look to Siv, "you're serious, Siv? I ...see some possiblitiy in it, but I'm not sure it's wise. THey'll be expecting you now."

"THey don't know I am, besides a female troll..and they can't scry me."

Frank does, however, fold his arms over his massive chest.

Siv looks at her father, "you'd really let me do this?"

"Could I stop you? Should I?"

"I don't know," She admits "it sounds like it needs doing. She's a threat, and a danger, but I told you i'd stay near home... and high school..." A look to Jude "Your excellency,if you'd allow me . I am not as noble as my mother or father, I crave excitement when I should pursue duty. I often desire to roam when I should mind my home. I... don't give as seflishlessly or without complaint as they do. I judge too quickly and perhaps too harshly at times. But if I am best suited to handle this of those you have, then you should treat me as such and not coddle me and pretend I am not . If I am not, then you should just tell me and while my pride will be stung I'll yield the cutlass up no trade needed. "

Frank frowns during this, but it clears.

Jude raises a brow, looks at Frank, "She's more mature than I thought she might be, Frank."

Frank nods. "I dont agree with everything she says, but we are proud of her."

Siv lowers her head a little at that, mixed feelings.

Jude says "I suspect the part you're wondering about, how your father doesn't agree with all you said, it's the comment about you not being as noble. You've already proven yourself, Siv, saving a mortal, foiling Unseelie? Hell... that's House Liam OR Gwydion material. All right. Take one of these, as a boon for your service to our House you have done. And I will call you if I need you, but let me have both Cutlass and knife for now so I can use magics to scry out yet more secrets. I promise you this, if I have a quest I see as needing one of your talents, I shall offer it to you. You are not Liam, nor of my lands, so I have no right to order. Frank nods at this, satisfied.

Siv fights a smile and loses the battle, and she blushes "Gwan"

Jude looks at Frank, "was that English?"

"Wilder."

Jude looks amused at that "You'd think I'd grasp that. Okay. Siv, please, pick one. Can't leave you unarmed."

She eyes each then "Mmm... heck with it. " And grabs Quill. "Thank you, Excellency."

'Well earned, as I said, now , let me show you my hold for a day or three?" He offers to both

"Thank you." He echoes.

"Oh, I'd love to but..da and I have folks to help"

Frank nods, then a thought strikes him. "Excellency, have you heard of Old Joe, driving the Phantom 309?"

"The song or the being?" he asks

"The being."

"Yes, he's still around then? good...we need guides like him... I understand what she means. You know who to go to and where to be- a rare gift. Yes, be wrong not to use it. Let me know if you need dross for this"

Frank hesitates, then does something he rarely does. "Thank you, Excellency. That would help."

He nods, no jokes or jibes, and soon they are outfited with a bit of dross to help. Siv and he both. "Good luck."

"Thank you, your excellency" Siv says, feeling much better with a weapon at her hip rather than in a box.

"Thank you again." And when dismissed, they head back to the rig.

And off they go. Questing not for glory or treasures, or just to help the sons of adam and the daughters of eve.

Jude, for his part, watches them leave, then he ponders, and pulls out a list, and writes down some notes. Things to take into account.... like Siv Waveborne and the potential of the wilders of Rivervale.
