Miriam hangs onto the kid as they exit the car.

The boy is trying to pick her pocket.

"Hey!! Quiddit!"

He pulls his hand back "I didn't do it" he lies

fear in his gaze

CLem looks back "We okay here?"

"Settle down, kid." She cant seem to look at him for long. "Yes, fine." To Clem.

"Sorry" Jacob says

"No yer not." She corrects absently.

"Now, where is..." Clem leaeds them to the back where there is a mural and.. Earl!

"..." the boy says then "no. I guess. I...feel bad I don't feel bad?"

"Well, it's a start, kiddo." As she pulls him along to Earl.

Earl says "We ready?" Then a look to the boy "hey, I'm a friend."

"no yer not" the boy says in a way very similar to Miriam's correction.

Earl raises a brow 'Well, I hope to be. Better?"

"its..a start" Jacob says

Miriam looks startled for a moment, then rolls her eyes.

Clem looks amused.

The artist circles around them, three times …. "One for the little mother living in the shoe, two for the blackbirds backed in a pie, and three for the men in the tub touching the sky"

Glamour flows. And...

The agents who had come this far arrive to realize they are..too late.

And Zara sees the four of them return right near where she is scrying from!

Earl looks a bit dizzy "Okay... some folks make it look so easy"

"Where is she?" Miriam demands of Earl.

He points to Zara who they landed next to.

"Furk....." Clearly, events have left her off-balance. She's still hanging onto Jacob. "Right. Zara.... this is Jacob. Jacob, say hi to Zara."

The white haired sluagh looks at the returnees... and her kithmate in particular, his own dark eyes staring back at him.

"hi" the boy says looking ready to bolt

"Welcome to the Farmhold, Master Jacob." A formal bow, hand on her chest.

Jacob say "i'm on a farm? like..cows and stuff?"

"more corn that cows" Earl comments

"Aye. And spiders, and bats - would you wish to see them?"

"I like spiders." he admits "and bats are okay."

She reaches to the nape of her neck, allowing 1122 to step onto her hand from beneath her braid. "Perhaps you would like to meet my friend? He is a brave and clever spy, the best companion I could ask for. 1122, this is Jacob."

"1122 I.." surprise lights up in his eyes "he's mechanical. I didn't know they came in mechanical"

1122 gives a bow, arachnid style

"Clockwork, aye. He's what we call a chimera, a creature born of dream-stuff."

"And..what am I? I ..don't know"

"You are a sluagh, like me. And a changeling, like me and Miriam and Clementine. You are an old, old dream, a faerie soul born into a human. Part fae, part boy."

Miriam watches protectively, one hand holding a small circle of hospital plastic.

"We - sluagh like us - we are dreams of shadows and hidden places, of secrets and the forgotten. We see what others do not, we treasure that which others discard."

Emmit approaches, noticing the boy's ticks and seeming

Clem changes into a troll causing the boy to scramble back "She was a sluagh, like us now she's blue.. and tall. is that going to happen to us? Is this a larvae thing?"

"She used magic. She is usually blue, but she is very fond of sluagh form."

"one of my best friends is a sluagh" Clem says in normal tone

A wry look at Clem. "Should I guess?"

"It's a pretty easy riddle" she says in response

A soft chuff, her not-quite-laugh.

Jacob goes back closer to Miriam "and..what are you? I mean..besides a changeling?"

Miroam moves to intercept. "Hey, you got powerful mojo. C"n you check somethin' ?"
