Clem is talking to the girl, "Yes, he was wrong to say those things, but you can't focus on the harm, the pain done by others. Otherwise they end up owning a little piece of you for years, and you don't want that. Focus on the good things. Like what you and your dad will do when he gets home"

"I know. Take my hand." She offers the gnarled digits.

"I..." He swallows "I have nightmares about angels. They're so beautiful, but they're .. they're not good."

Miriam nods grimly. "Yeah. Some ain't so bad. Some... right assholes." Her hand still extended.

A look at her, "You don't look like an angel so.." He takes her hand by now having gotten free from the net, save for sticky bits.

"Heh. Yeah, no angel here." And when he takes her hand, she passes her own Glamour to him.

He gasps "you..it's the..stuff that I need I …"

"Thank you" He says as if given a parcel of bread in a famine

"Who named you Jacob?"

"It was on this …" He pulls out a small tag, one that would go around an infant's wrist

Miriam goes very very still. "C... C'n I see that? I won't take it, promise."

A dubious look, "it's all I got of ..well, whatever I … yeah, sure"

He hands it over carefully

Miriam, using the moon and whatever street light there is, examines it carefully, especially the words.

It's faded save for the name, but she's a nocker.. little bit of spit and a glare will force it to show things better

She moistens her thumb and wipes it, glaring closely.

'Jacob Xavier Co...' and the last three letters of the last name are too faded for even her glare to bring bacvk

A whisper from another side "the little girl is okay now."

It's Clem who adds "But we can't linger here long"

"Jacob. You want to come with us? I can show you how to get the stuff the right way."

"What should I call you?" he says cautiously

"M... Miriam. For now. My friend here is Clem." She indicates the other sluagh.

OOC: Actually big troll is currently elderformed to look like a sluagh

BIC: "This isn't my usual game face, it's complicated" Clem says

Miriam crouches to eye-level (as needed). "I know a safe place. The snakes can't get you there. I can show you how to get Glamour the right way; not hurt anyone. Unless, you know. They deserve it. An' you can learn what you need to know. All the secrets of us, the Fae. You want to come?"

"yes..." the boy says "I would like that. I don't know what's wrong with me..the food tastes better out of the garbage than it does off the tables. I can't yell. It hurts to try. I think my bones are jello. I don't know what I am, all I know is..it's better than what I was and I don't want to lose it"

"Yeah, I know. Your.... I know someone that'll be a good friend." She looks up grimly at Clem. "You take us back?"

"He's unsained, trod 'll be dangerous, but I have a gift card for an uber, it'll get us out of Baltimore... and from there....well, yeah."

"you're like me?" He says eying Clem's sluagh form

"Like she is, yes, but not like you are... tell you later..."

The boy says "We should go."

Meanwhile, Zara is fussing at Earl - can he make a double trip? Is there enough glamour to do so?

"Yes, yes.. I can do so" earl says from his spot "Just let me see where they go and I think I can make it. Bring them back. Bachdion taught me how it works- in theory"

"In theory. We cannot lose them, aye?"

"I'm not teleporting us there and drawing more attention from the authorities. There's a spot out of Baltimore I visited once, hopefully she'll go there and..yup getting a text" He reads out loud , though likely she's already peeking through his arm 'TXT: Gone to that Gas Station, the one with the mural on the back... will text when we get there. Someone was coming after us so we left. Don't tell Zara that we're being followed she'll just worry' " He finishes reading outloud then winces "Oops"

A soft hiss. "Eiluned. Aye, a hast retreat would be wise."

"I know the mural, that I won't forget" He assures "I 'll take a bit of dross and be back. Two hours tops." Earl says taking her hand in his "It will be okay"

She squeezes his hand, then draws it close to brush his knuckles with a kiss. "Aye."

At that he kisses her forehead, "I love you. I wish I could do more for you than that"

"But that's so much."

At that he kisses her on the lips, lightly, and smiles "I'll head out now. Don't worry, I'll use the sword"

"Good. See you - all of you - soon."

He backs away, bows to her in an Edwardian style...snaps dross and vanishes. Odd, his glamour has such splendid colors that seem to streak out like brushstrokes.

"we should go" the boy says, and Clem agrees.

"Uber this way"

"C'mon then..." they follow Clem.

"YOu got a veil you can cast on us?" Clem asks as it seems like glamour in the distance is closing..perhaps a wisp

"Yeah. Gotta be touching." She offers her hands.
