A surprised snort "LUPE!"

A grin "oh come on, you know you're gonna use it now that you heard it"

"Well, yeah. Of course!"

"See... you're welcome" Cocky look

Another snort. "Smartass."

"Guilty as charged. Man I should have been ragabash. I am TOO damn funny"

"Well, if werewolves are very confused pooka..."

"Heeeey"

"What? You're both shapeshifters."

"How do you know pooka aren't ust very confused Were guys?"

She rolls her eyes. "Because we were first. Obviously."

"Oooooh suuure you were uh huh"

A toss of her head and a serious, gruff voice - "We are the manifestation of the primal dreams of humanity, children of the universe itself, older than history, as old as creation."

"I'll have you know that my soul is at least a gajillion years old."

"OH, only that? Because... you know, pretty sure my warrior spirit is like a gajilion... plus TWO... on the short end"

"A gajillion plus fourteen years and eleven months!"

"A Gajillion plus whatever you say plus a day, fae! In your pixie face..huyahh"

"Welllll, I guess you gotta win on something..."

Elbow bump

She laughs. "C'mon, race you to the Barn. Bet Tove'll make snacks!"

"Tove snacks? Oh hell to the yeah" And bolts ahead

Sam races along - to be fair, while she has longer legs, Gonzales is just faster.

"Hey, I didn't even need the other two legs " she says when Sam comes in juuust behind her

She huffs and puffs. "THIS is why I'm gonna throw things. Jeeeez."

"Nah, you alosth ad me..and ..I'm pretty tired myself."

"Hungry too maybe?" tove is in a great mood..has been since Jaymes came back.

"Starved! Teeangers descending! Danger, danger!"

She laughs at the challenge. Yup, whatever they talked about for several hours straight in the bedroom, it had put her in a really good mood "Okay, you girls just want some snacks or are we talking full on chili dogs?"

"Uh, Lupe? How hungry are you?"

"Well, the poite side of my brain wants me to say I don't want to be any trouble so whatever ... but the honest side? Ravenous."

Sam offers Tove a hopeful grin. "We can help?"

"You got it.. okay " Tove begins to direct them both, not with Kerri level accuracy, but she's gettin the hang of kitchen chain of command and Dagmar is an expert 'do thiser'. Gonzalez is happy to assist and comes from a large family so coordinates well. Soon, dogs are sizzling (the hot dogs, not two bit) , the chili is reheating... and some fries are baking

Sam is happy to help, and happier yet to devour - she, at least, seems pretty happy with life.

And Gonzalez wwas't lying when she said she as hungry.

Tove contemplates that theres a little redcap in every teenager. But she's glad they like

No time for chit chat when there is food to be had! Plans made for try-outs, and eventually it is time for Lupe to head home.

Lupe gives her a half hug and back thump "Thanks, Amiga. We're gonna ace it. " And she goes

"Athlete queens, amiga!" A wave as her friend leaves.

Tove looks at Dagmar "Hey. Ah, we wanted to ask you something, but I didn't want to intrude with Lupita here."

"Yeah? What's up?"

"Well, you know a lot of the folks rescued from the Dreaming have had their lives uprooted for years, and some have no home?"

Shrug. "Yeah?"

"well, some are in a motel but time maybe running out that we can afford to pay for all of it. So..we might have a guest for a few days."

"Maybe a week" Jaymes says from nearby as he ccomes in "if you're okay with it?"

A crease between her eyebrows. "Just a few days?"

Tove nods "IF you are willing. Jaymes and I know this is your house too."

"Can I ask for no boys?"

"Absolutely" Tove says//"Already told them that actually" Jaymes says "I mean, not every guy can be Symon"

"Sy's not really a guy. He's, y'know, Symon."

Jaymes nods and grunts in agreement
