In a riot of old buildings and storm drains, surely there is an option... though it does mean losing her tattletale. So be it.

Walls seem to be closing, not closing in, closing. A door she thought existed before has been swallowed by blue flame. Her path to outside where drains and such can be found is..gone

A voice calls out, "Miss Esther? The Count requests your return to the parlor"

A hiss, and hasty magic - directly after the flames, a fuddle "Are we open or shut? We know not what."

There is a flush through the freehold. And a moment of confusion...

Her scrying dropped, she does not see Jude touch his forehead in confusion.

The path swings open, but also starts to close almost instantly! She has a moment to try, but if she fails she could be badly hurt...and 1122 will be trapped in after

And JUMP... think thin..squeezing even before she's through she manages to... Gasp, get out into the fairway

Breathing hard, a rasp, she is now into the area as before. The roller coaster trods are only so far away... there are some Kinian and kithain alike

BUt no alarm seems to have been sounded

She turns, not to the roller coaster, but to the carnival's exit - there she will find a place to hide, to wait, to scry - to figure out how to rescue her friend.

That prooves to actually have fewer guards than the trod. She sees one Satyr fellow with the County of the Conch Sash, a thane. A big smile on his. Stride by like she has every right to leave, or SNEAK?

A casual walk, a shy wave and a timid, innocuous smile. Any attention has her ducking her head and scurrying from the Big Scary Satyr...

The satyr gives a warm friendly grin and waves bye!

zara is on the Monterrey peninsula, and there are plenty of motels to stop at , resturants and more

She draws closer to the man, watching.

She can see the webbed fingers on him. the large eyes. Selkie! The brown short beard shot with gray.

He paints with love, she has sseen that look on Earl's face. He's in love with the shore... and the surf. It's so realistic... but he's adding Mermaids

Realistic too, from a certain perspective...

Glamour sparks as he does something he loves.

A smile to herself, and she continues on her way towards the breaking surf.

She makes it towards there, and now he notices as she bends down to touch the water. Oh so different from the Atlantic. Should it be this cold , this is California
