Meanwhile, Tanya...aka Nadeen, sighs and stares... the trod is there. She could walk right into it.

But she's not allowed.

"It's so unfair" she says looking at the footbridge to the DeBuke farm

"not that I want to go to a hold that hates sidhe,but ugh"

"A year and a day? Are they insane? I feel like years are passing just standing here."

"Yeah, well, it won't go faster for either of us."

How long had she been there? No armor - she hasn't worn the armor since the first day - but Flyswatter is on her back.

She looks back, 'Hello, Dagmar. Yes, I suppose not, but at least you're closer"

"Halfway."

"Yes." she stares at the foot bridge "It's so annoying though to see Sylvi or Kelby trot along this so easily though"

"Very." A grunt of agreement.

"You should tell somebody before you go off too far in the woods, though. There's bears."

"Truly?" Surprised at that, and it's new "I hadn't heard anything on the news"

"Some real, some chimerical. Seen both."

"Chimerical bears..." A distant look, "did they dance?"

"...no..." A little line between her eyebrows, a breath of forgotten dream.. or memory?

"i'm sorry, of..of course they didn't" A sigh.

She closes her eyes, trying to grasp... something... "In a hall made of spun crystal, everything glowing gold...."

"Yees, you remember it too...the music, remember the strings?"

Her hand floats, following a line of music. "Yes?"

"And... there was...a carriage outside, made of snow or...was that the horses?"

"Diamonds. The carriage was diamonds, but that could have been snow..." Dagmar keeps her eyes closed - if she concentrates, she can almost see it...

"Yes, diamonds..." She agrees.

Nadeen is humming softly

the tune is ..very familiar though Dagmar has never heard it before

She sways, just a little.

"What are you two DOING?" DIrk bellows. JARRING them, shattering the memory of..

Nadeen fights the urge to glare back at the redcap

Dagmar grunts, jolted back to the here-and-now.

"The fuck you want, Dirk?"

"You two were looking stoned or something? You got weed on you?" He sniffs "I might want a hit"

"No, I ain't got any weed. I don't do that shit. It makes you dumb."

He grins . He had told her once befofre he didn't ever plan on getting hooked on ANYTHING ."Yeah, jjust shitting you..but what was with the lame ass meditation?"

"We were ..remembering" Nadeen sayswith a sigh to him

Her jaw juts out at that stubborn angle and she rubs the back of her neck. "Nuthin'."

"Remembering nuthin?" He scratches himself in confusion. "how can you like, remember nothing?"

"Dirk, shut it."

"The fuck's your problem?" He snaps back. "I didn't do anything"

Nadeen says "yes you did. you ruined a moment...but it's too late now" A frustrated look "I can't get it back"

Dagmar folds her arms, blushing purple.

"Oh fuck, that's dumb. Who cares bout some old llife yo uain't never getting back? You're here NOW." A roll of his eyes

Stubborn jaw. "Of course it ain't."

"You know, in my past life, I could ask Dagmar to pulverize you because you offended me. and the Baroness here would be fine with it, " Nadeen says then a look to Dagmar "I don't know about you, but I miss those days"

"I don't remember any of that."

"Oh" She says sadly

"Doesn't matter, anyway. It's stupid."

"Yup. Sidhe are always trying to get back to candyland when winter town is all we got" He shrugs

Nadeen stiffens

"But there's the dreaming, and the Lodge... they're way better than just regular stuff."
