Today is somewhat open, as open as one of the most important women i nthe Duchy can be. Tiffany returns after a day off, seeming much better. Good..she had predicted that.

The arrival of Siv Waveborn, Daughter of Brekke SHacklebreaker? SHe did not. THe girl came by trod, not ship. That means much.

"Really?" Some surprise, but she nods. "I'll see her in the Great Hall." She scans the notes she's been provided as she goes, handing them off to a retainer before the girl comes in. She is seated in her throne.

A moment later, Siv comes in. She bows, but it's a reluctant bow, and the girl is not as good at her mother at keeping her emotions from reaching her eyes. Hostlity? Yes perhaps bordering on contained loathing. There is also curiosity. That latter she knows well.

A small smile plays on the Countess's lips; tag, perhaps, or maybe red rover? "Miss Waveborn. Welcome to Charm."

"Will you take refreshment?"

"No thank you, I would not sup with you until I know... pardon, there appears to be a misunderstanding, your excellency. I didn't come seeking you out. " Siv says though she IS curious about something regarding the woman before her. THe girl might be a phantom to soothsaying, but not to an Eiluned's eyes.

"My staff has made an error, then? Who did you wish to see?" A curious tilt to her head.

"Thane Tiffany, Countess." Siv stares at the woman, trying to read something and frustratingly not finding the answers from that alone. Oh definitely she does not have her mother's gift for stoic masks.

"Lady Geneva, will you please ask Thane Tiffany to attend us? Thank you." She nods to the courtier and returns to observing Siv.

"I was hoping to speak to her alone, your excellency. So there need be no trouble to you, I know you don't like guests unless they leave some tribute and today I have none"

That last slipped out, a bit of bitterness too

An eyebrow. "I don't? Curious."

"Well, there is certainly no requirement to speak to the Thane in front of me. When she arrives, you may retire with her."

"Thank you I..." She stops, "I remember a lot, your excellency. Which probably means nothing to you, but I do have to wonder if you remember Samhain? Do you even know what you did?"

"And why?"

Another smile. "I recall.... some. A bit. We make an effort, after all. However, the mysteries and secrets of Samhain must be respected."

"Must they? I suppose we trolls do things differently. See, I remember the crew with me risking our lives to help this place, and we were rewarded with magical assault and a threat to steal our ship. I remember...cruelty and laughter and I don't understand why. "

A pause, a thinking pause. "And you imagine Thane Tiffany will assist you to understand?" Impressed. "I always thought she had hidden depths."

"Pooka are more than we realize, but no. I sought her for another reason..." A pause "Would you care to trade? I tell you why I seek her out and what I want to talk about , and you answer honest and straight why you acted as you did, why you bullied us when we risked ourselves for the fire you hold charge over?"
