"Oh..." A blush "Did I say that? Yes, that.. that is part of the enchantment"

"More like, speculation I suppose"

A longish pause. "You are stunning, always, but... in that dress... you were particularly memorable." Shyly.

"How did you come to use it, then?"

"I touched it, and it snagged me . I was trying to study it to learn more like who created it. About 67% sure it's a pooka"

She is blushing herself as he mentions how she looked.

"And you say you got it from Mississippi Murphy?" A faint frown.

"He came to perform" Pleased, "you should have heard him, delightful."

"But no, this is't a set up by him or a trap"

"At the club? Oh good." He's pleased by that, but then the frown comes back. "And he gave you the dress?"

CC looks at him "It sounds like you don't believe me when I assure you this isn't a set up or a trap by him. Honey, trust my skills to read a man. it wasn't."

"I do trust you, utterly. No, I just... why would he give you that? Did he know what it would do?" Another pause. "Did.... did you want it to do that?"

"Okay, first he didn't give it tto me until I pressed for what the glamour in his bag was. He was actually annoyed with it, and warned me not to trust it and more than that... I think whoever it took HIm too, he was attracted to her and he was too embarrassed to admit it wawsn't random." then a blush "It's not random, it carries you to someone you imagined marrying at one time or another. So ..."A deeper blush "Well, I got to missing you very much and realizing where it would take me, I used it to drop in on you. " A sigh "Then you spent a half hour yelling at me while I wore the dress."

"Oh, Dearest...." He pets her. "I -am- sorry I lost my temper. You took me quite by surprise! I was thrown, off-balance.... something you excel in, by the way." He chuckles fondly, then it trails off and he asks "Wait, now.... was Murphy wearing it when he appeared elsewhere?"

A giggle "yes, I didn't see it, but that's how the magic works. It's a prank."

"Well, that would explain any embarrassment on his part!" He chuckles again. "You... realized... it would bring you to me."

A light blush then a lowering of eyes and an admission escapes CC's lips "I was counting on it."

"Oh, Dearest...." Gently, tenderly, he tips her chin up to look into her eyes. "I -was- glad to see you. Stunned, but... very happy."

Her gaze meets his "I'm glad. I just , well, satyr passions , womanly impulses, blame how you like but in the end whatever the cause it's just me, Callidora. I wanted to be with you again, even if only for a little time so badly. I am a selfish creature"

"Perfectly selfish." He agrees approvingly, then looks at her steadily for a moment. "Just so it's been said. If you'd like to wear that dress one day for it's intended purpose... I would not be adverse."

"Well, how often... " Her eyes widen, "wait? Are you..." A twist of her head, she sits up right and stares at him, "Are you asking something, William? Or... is it just a cosplay thing?"

"If you are not sure whether or not I am asking, Callidora, I'm not. When I ask, it will be perfectly clear. Cosplay, or otherwise." He kisses her lightly. "I am saying that ... one day, if you wish, we could."

She melts in the kiss then pulls back "You're not but you could but.. really you're a vexing man. Let me say that when you decide we 'could' I'll be ready to answer."

"Well." He whispers. "I'll need to get a few things before I would be ready to ask. And I might have a word with Caesar."

"No spoilers" She puts a finger against his lips "And no pressure on you. I want you to want things as much as i do. Consider it a combination of fairness, love and pride. Now, " A deepbreeath "When do we meet for that talk about Kitten's news?"

"When we've exhausted all other interests?" With a roguish grin, his demeanour flipping in a beat. "When we can't walk?"

"Oh you poor man, you're going to need a wheel chair..." And she tackles him with a laugh
