Now that she looks... there's a giant scorpian, it's top of it's tail (And thus the stinger) removed, but it's got Vali banging away at it while he's in one claw, and Jaymes is riding on top of it stabbing with that claymore thing

Her eyes widen, and she struggles to keep a straight face. "So - was James just here?"

"no no, not today"

Bucking, thrashing angry arachnid outside. Vali has broken free and is now smashing at the claw

"Oh, okay..."

"So - I can go when there's a bedroom?"

"I would imagine..." Jennifer says "We have his number."

Stab stab, thump thump! Vali complains about nearly getting his arm cut off, Jaymes makes a 'wellk, don't get in the way' motion

"Well, I can ask when I go over to Sylvi's?"

"Sure sure" Jennifer says

a chimerical SQUEEL that the mortals can't hear, then.. down goes the beast

She rubs behind one ear, squinting, and nods. "Cool. Imma go pack."

They nod and leave her to it. Fae life is certainly odd

Well.... they seem okay out there? She darts upstairs to pack - indeed, perhaps to Jenn's disapproval, most of Dagmar's personal belongings still live in the black trashbag shoved under the vanity. It doesn't take long to add the odds and ends to it - Tove's badger, some comics, a bundle of dirty clothing from the hamper...

Jenn winces, "Why don't we let you have a real bag for someof that" Assuming she sees her coming down with it

She twists the neck of the bag in her hands. "S'okay."

"Yes.." Frustration. Who wants to be thought of the foster parent that made a kid use trashbags?

"It's fine. Can I go check?"

"Yes, um sure"

"Okay!" And she's out the door like a shot, bag over her shoulder.

"Just remember to be back beforre da.-" but she's gone outside

Vali is saying "I can't believe you're taking the venom. Seems..like dirty fighting"//"Waste not, want not. " Jaymes is saving the stinger

She jogs up. "Hey!"

"Uhm, hi," Vali says "Want us to tell you we were just excercising, or prefer a more exciting cover up attempt? One that involves scorpion hunting season?"

"I don't like lies."

"Jenn said I could move out once I have a bedroom?"

"Well, sure if you consider a really good ripping story and excuse a lie..." Vali starts to say.//Jaymes rolls his eye, "We were patrolling around your house, this thing seemed out to kill you so we caught it before it could make a hole in the back door or something." A pause and bit of smile "yeah? Good to know. I hope you're not expecting anything fancy?"

"You aren't going to lock me in the basement?"

"Basement? WHo the hell locked you up in a basement?" Scowl

"See? Low bar."

"One day I am going to want to 'visit' some of your past...foster parents" Jaymes says "And have a coming to Odin meeting with them"

She shrugs. "It's the past. Change is good."

"Huh. Okay. I'll respect your take on it' Jaymes says , still descaling and things with the corpse, "You might want to tell me, no promses, but besides 'no basement' anything you'd like in a room?"

"Could I lock it from the inside?"

A frown, then "Well, will you open it when I ask you too?"

She frowns. "Depends."

"Mmmph ok. Will you come out when I ask you too?"

"...Probably? Maybe not, if you want me to be honest..."

Jaymes sighs then actually smirks "Well, at least you're being honest. Okay, can I ask WHY you want a lock on the door from the inside?"

"So... so, like... like it could be mine, my space. And nobody could enter if I didn't want them to..."

He pauses, then "Huh. I guess I didn't consider that. That's important to you, isn't it?" Jaymes's brow is knit

"It's... it's okay..." she shifts the trashbag higher on her shoulder.

"No, you have a point. " He says "Okay, we'll try out a lock, see how it works. " Jaymes nods.

"Well, locks 'lock' things, Jaymes" Vali says helpfully "LIttle mechanisms that..."

"The Browns seemed really easy about the whole thing. Guess they were glad to get rid of me..."

"Well, also a few bits of the professor's magic might have a factor" Jaymes says, ignoring Vali

"But their loss is our gain right?"

She nods. "Yes!"
