"That's.. that could work!" The DOugal says nearly banging his head

"My companion is Rover Olgar, knight of the Way, hailling from Rivervale as well." Frank introduces.

"A rover" the fellow slides out, "Hi, Baron of Ottumwa, nice to meet you both. " He's obviously being sidhe, a handsome fellow, looks like he has both an ear piece and one eye has a lense thing over it "Call me VG if you like. I run an informal court. Don't get many trolls here"

Frank bows.... and still manages to tower. "The privilege is ours."

"I suppose so, thank you for the formality, sir knight. Rivervale? Where is that?"

"County of Bergen, Kingdom of Apples."

"Wow, that's a long way off. What can I do for you? if you two were sidhe I'd know, but in this case? not the foggiest"

"My Lord." He bows again. "May we speak in private? I have gained possession of a game I believe you may have authored, and I would ask to know more about its working."

"Sweet Atari" he blinks, "you found it? I.. please, follow me. He leads them down a hallway out of the room, "If this is what i think it was, I thought it was gone forever. Mixed feeling about taht too."

Frank nods and follows.

Olgar is followingand when they enter into what appears to be a a study, modern Dougal style with wall to wall ccomputerrss electronics and monitors around a work station, the door closes , then Olgar says "Apocalyptic Trucker? or something like that?"

"Post Apocalyptic...yes" the Baron says "Oh my, I was barely a wilder back then. We had such hopes. No one more so than...well, it was his dream to help mortal dreamers save the world. And I don't mean figuratively "

"Can you give us details?"

"Did you go into the game?" He asks, "It is easier if at least one of you has. Pocket dreaming with limited access to autumn conduits confues some."

"I did. My daughter and I."

"My Lord, there are people still in there."

"It's still working after all this time? Wow. Makes me kind of proud. " A shake of hsi head, "You've been there. Musst have died at least once to have seen that."

Frank nods, gravely.

"Yes, you've got folks trapped in there..full chimerical storage of mundane beings. ' A smile, "I was the one who put in the 'Bedlam buffers' among other things. The nockers were all "They're not going to be in that furkin long' but I pestered and pestered."

"They've been there that long, My Lord. It's time to get them out." Softly.

"I'd have to see the machine to even have a chance. And, I'm not sure it can be done." He frowns. "I. oh, right. Liam. You do know it was Liaam need to 'help mortals' that caused this mess right? "

Olgar coughs "the nockers and you had nothing to do with the 'mess'?"

The Baron scowls, "The nockers were brillaint, but kept trying to leap ahead with unwarranted short cuts and complicated expansions. MY crime was not making them listen more. And I had my doubts about mortals period. I told our sponsor of House Liam it waas best only Kithain could do this. He ..well, he agreed but wanted mortals to help too and the nockers got HIM to agree to this 'penalty box' for death. It was supposed to spit you out when you died on your third life."

"I think that it did not, in all cases. My Lord, can you tell us of your sponsor, my Liam brother who worked with you on this?"

"Leaphope was different from many Liam I met in some ways. Instead of blabbing on and on about humans beeing innately this, or innately that, he recognized that they had developed new tools, new mediums " thought ful, "He got such a large chunk of the elephant i put aside my distruest of his house and jumped on board. Very inspirational man. He provided a lot of the cantripping to infuse the parts before we made them into electroinics"

"Metaphor, Frank," Olgar says "All Budhist like"

"Leaphope...." He combs his memory.

"Exactly, he grasped where technology was going... not just the then, but the could and should bes."'

Frank nods, putting the questions aside for the moment. "My Lord, how do we get the mortals trapped there -out-? We can take you to the machine."

"Look, you want to save mortals? The safest thing to do is leech the glamour out of it, depower it not of electricty, but glamour period. Then you pull the main board out and done." A pause "It will save mmore folks, it's sure fire. But trying to free the onesi n thee? That's... dangerous and could cost a FAE life"

Frank gives him a level look; all the explanation needed.

"That's Frank for 'no way , Jose'" Olgar says helpfully anyway

The Baron says "Look, by now they'd probably come out as Chimera if they're lucky.. their fundamental nature has been shifted."

"They deserve to be free." Softly.

"The Escheat is for Changelings" He says "And I wont risk Changeling lives for Mortal ones. I made that mistake before"

"The Escheat directly addresses mortals." Calmly. "They are the focus of the second and third articles of our most sacred laws."

"Yes, what if they remember , what if they come out the same age they went in? Don't you think that puts us at risk?"

Olgar pauses, "man has a point there Frank."

"You said they would be Chimera now." Reasonably.

"True. And up like a puff But... if they come back mortal like YOU Hope, and I bet you do. then wer'e back to that problem"

Olgar says "Gee, and I thought Dougals were geniuses"

"Beg your pardon?" the DOugal turns

Frank shrugs. "If you can't solve the conundrum, perhaps there is one in Apples who can."

"You're looking at the man who helped it get created, don't be insulting" the Baron flares a bit

Frank bows. "No insult intended, Shining One."

"Fine, But to do this right, I'll need to outfit someone with the right sensor array and send them INTO the game. To even have a chance for transference"

"Transference?"

"Bringing them from chimerical to mundane reality"
