Frank smiles benignly, exchanging a look with Olgar. "No sir." he responds.

"Well, You're near Agrotech property" He says, a chill of banality, "You know that right?"

Olgar glances back to Frank, letting him handle this though he clearly has some smart ass comments for this rent a cop

"No sir." MIldly.

"Well, you shouldnt be around here" He says

Olgar mutters "I know he's o nthe chilly side, but why are we taking this?"

"Thanks for that." Frank looks up at the sky, then to Olgar. "Good question." He nods to the chillyman and they continue on down the road.

The Uberdriver pulls up "Sorry, they kept telling me that I..."

"Shouldn't be here, blah blah" Olgar says "Don't worry. These assholes don't own the road and if you want to lodge a complaint with the Transportation Department of your state, I suggest it"

"C'mon." Frank crams himself in.

(the car)

THey fit, thank god Olgar ordered 'overhead'

and they drive to Ottuma, the driver plays some tunes, asks some questions, but mostly leaves them alone. Olgar has a conversation with Frank, "I can see why wild chimera are the least of the the Farm's problems" Quietly

Frank nods. "Hard to think of those folks we met on the road in cahoots with local leaders."

The road trip here is quick, uneventful, and the the music? not bad

(Pause scene for an hour)

(Resume) They are dropped off, not far from where the hold is- about two miles. Easy stretch of the legs.

Frank's gait is loose and easy; if one is observant, it shows he's used to talking confidently but carefully in a world of little people.

Olgar has a more adversarial strut, he's going that way, you go your way but don't get in his way.

The two make their path towards a large arcade, one of those dinosaurs that somehow survived past the decades of Xboxes and PC games. It's not at the video game museum of the city, but it is nearby. Glamour is within

"Wow." Frank takes a moment to appreciate. "You ever hit arcades as a kid?"

"All the time, man, it was like poolhalls for punks with quarters. " He says "Freehold in there, probably a rath set up. Too many mortals to risk it other wise"

Frank nods agreement. "Ok, so our plan here is to go in, ask to see the creator of the game or if he's gone, at least any notes and records he might have left, and learn what we can. Yeah?"

OOC I'm blanking on details of what they learned; I visited the Dreaming since then. *Grin* You have?

BIC: "Pretty much, baron of the place so we at least should be able to ask to see him. He can say no though"

IC: "Well, we're here on behalf of the Lady of Rivervale, so.... Here's hoping he won't." A pause. "Just for saying, though.... chances are good we're going to get the rough end of any stick offered. Dougal Lord, Oathbroken or Unseelie troll..."

"Oh yeah, I forgot you were my handicap" Wry "Come on. We know he's worked with Liams before at least." As they enter in, one can see about four mortals, but also a centipede Pooka playing hard on a game of his name sake, and nocker tinkering with one game under repair. The pooka keeps playing, the nocker looks up from his work and seeing more fae jerks his head towards a pac man game.

Frank frowns, puzzling, and approaches the game. "Rath?" He murmurs to Olgar.

"Be my guess"

He moves to it, and you realize that the screen is flickering... Olgar presses his hand against it, and the wall opens

Frank nods. "Nice." He steps through.

You guys enter and Frank realizes this is VERY much like the game he was in , though more pixelated than 32 bit. the halls are maze like at first, and appear to be patrolled by a troll sized Pac Man which wakka wakkas up to you, looks you over, and stares at your weapons.

Frank appear in the Freehold in his full-court voile, like a white viking. He notes the stare, and peace-ties the blade.

Pac Man nods, looks to Olgar, who does much the same, or at least makes a show of it. It nods again

Frank looks around past Pac Man, taking in the details of the room.

Hallways more like, they bend and twist, but he thinks he hears non digital voices 'that away'

Frank tips his head in that direction to signal Olgar, and that's where he heads.

Olgar says "We're in a freehold all right. Looks like someone is using Chimera instead of trolls for thanes. Should we be offended?" He moves along with him, and yes, they pass Donkey Kong, also on duty. And enter into a room where there's some sort of starship being tinkered on Underneath the chimerical vehicle is a pair of male legs and feet.

"Not necessarily. Could just be using what the Dreaming gave them."

"Can I help you?" A voice says from under the vehicle

"I am Sir Franklyn of House Liam, Mountain of Rivervale Lodge. I seek the Baron of this demesne. (Whos name and info we're still looking for....)

"That would be me," He says not rising from his spot, "I'd welcome you, but I'm trying to calibrate the Defender here with fircchlis shielding. "

"We'll wait on you, My Lord." Respectfully.

"I've tried oakenshielding, dragonscaling..." tinker tinker work work 'But the FIrchliss iss too powerful, random shifts in the dreaing like to tear it appart"

Olgar snorts. As if something is obvious to him

Frank nods to Olgar, encouraging.

Olgar rolls his eyes. it's his nature to expect folks to step up, show they know what they know, and if this sidhe lord doesn't why help him? But still, frank's encouragment he's willing to humor "You thought about a slip stream bubble instead of just toughening it up?"

"No good" The Dougal below says, "The bubble can't hold shape under that sort of. Firchles meets stable space exodus"

"Then don't feel the bubble with stablee space. Use a more controlled Firchliss shift, localized, transition will go smoother and it will be more solid but not rigid"
