"She does," Brekke agrees, sipping her coffee.

Frank nods. "Well. I think we've all had time to get the measure of her?"

"I have not spent as much time with her as you or Olgar, I think," Brekke says, "but I have an idea of her. She needs help, certainly."

"She's very...transactional." Kerri points out. "She won't take anything if it's offered without a price, but will accept a trade of chores for food easily."

"She's not afraid of hard work, but she doesn't trust soft heartedness" Olgar agrees

"A result of being in the system. And, I think, of being Unseelie."

"Or even simple generosity."

Frank takes a sip of his coffee. "One thing we can change. Her being in the system."

"Repay all Debts is a Seelie thing, last I heard. " A raised brow

Kerri and Brekke both look to Olgar for his reaction.

"Hmm." Brekke considers this.

"I meant, trusting what she sees as soft-heartedness." Mildly.

"Ah," Mmm . He doesn't seem that surprised by Frank's comment about the system and getting her out.

"Well, the lack of trust is a system thing, I suspect, yes," Kerri says. "And yes, we need to get her out of there. You have an idea, Frank?"

He glances at Brekke.

A drink, and a troubledl ook on Olgar's face.

Brekke nods to Frank, and says, "She needs to be adopted. We may have several options for making sure that happens. My main concern has been the banality of the process...but we spoke with Professor Wayburton, and he assured that he knew ways of making sure the authorities in charge of the process do not question. And Frank, I know, you do not like the idea of using such methods on mortals, but for Dagmar's sake it may be necessary."

"I understand, and to be honest... I don't really have an issue with it. Not in this case. All Rights of the Escheat are important, and what we do to the authorities shouldn't interfere with their Right to Dream."

"Right, minimum meddling done, nothing really different results wise than if we filled out paperwork for a few months and underwent some visits."

Brekke nods. "So, the remaining question is...who?"

Frank nods agreement. "Who?"

Kerri's brows lift, and she looks at Olgar, then back to the others. "I sense a strong suggestion being made here."

"A question, not a suggestion..." Brekke clarifies. "But I would hear your thoughts on the matter."

"We've identified some family groups in the area that could serve." Frank adds.

Kerri looks thoughtful, and looks to her husband. "Olgar?"

"I'd be lying if I didn't say the idea didn't occur to me first thing" He says to Kerri ,looking apologetic for some reason

"Both our families have a teenaged girl each." Frank points out.

She gives him a fond grin. "I'd be lying if I didn't say the same. But...I don't know how Sylvi would take it."

Olgar looks floored at Kerri, "What happened to 'one kid no more'?"

Paraphrasing her own long ago statement on offspring

She gives him a pained look. "I don't have to carry this one nine months, and go through labor, and breastfeed, and diaper....shall I continue?"

Brekke hides a grin in a sip of coffee.

"Oh, that's what all the fuss was about" Straight faced

That earns Olgar a backhand from his wife.

...on the shoulder, no harm done.

A chuckle, "Sorry , babe. I..that's the reason I didn't suggest it when we talked about ...well, last week "

"On a boat." He mutters.

Brekke gives Frank a knowing look, then clears her throat. "I actually think it may be better to have her adopted by a local family. She is likely to test the boundaries of a new home and family, and better she comes here to do that rather than starting here and going elsewhere to get away."

"Who'd you have in mind?" Olgar asks

"Well...Professor Wayburton's wife seemed open to the possibility."

"The Wayburtons? Uhm.." Olgar is unsure, "I mean, I got nothing against satyrs, but, I'm not sure Dagmar's ready for the Drama of academic ivy wasp mood swingers?" A look to the others

"Yes...which would bring her here as often as possible for training." Brekke points out.

Frank has his thinking face on.

Olgar resists the urge to ask who this stranger is who has joined them.

"Frank?" Brekke says.

"Want to share with the class?" from Kerri.

"Brekke....." He meets her eyes. "Know who we haven't talked about, that I'm aware of?"

Her brow furrows. "I do not know whom you mean."

"if you mean our kids, I thought it was a given that if one of us took her in, we'd want to make sure Siv and Sylvi respectively were good with it?"

Kerri nods agreement with Olgar. "Nothing happens about adoption here unless the sister-to-be in question gets her say."
