She shakes her head. "Yeah, it's fine."

"Oh well, how are you doing? I heard you listening to some music. do you like it? Sounded kind of angry"

"Olgar gave me some CDs to try. They're okay."

She eases down to sit and offers out the walkman. "You wanna listen?"

"Sure..." She takes it, and listens to..whatever is offered

Zeppelin, Greatest Hits.

Dagmar draws up her knees, resting her chin on folded arms as Gerd listens.

"Wow" She mutters "Some of this would kill a sluagh"

Some of it she sings along with, and yes the opening scream of the Immigrant song makes her sing a long a bit

"You think?"

"Like this one" she admits

"Why?"

"I guess it makes me think of vikings. I didn't get to go on the longship quest. Even though I am as old or eveen older than Uncle Vali was on HIS sea quest." Hurumphs

"So go."

"I mean, instead of bitching, just go. Or are you afraid you can't hack it?"

"You shouldn't use language like that" Gerd takes off her earphones "And I will one day. But uncle Vali will be scared for me. And that's not nice. Also, I might get grounded to."

Another thought "Oh! And I have a school play soon!" Eager

"Yeah. Grounded. Is that really all they got?"

"Hmph. Okay. What play?"

"Oh! Peter Pan! I hope to play Wendy, or Tink! But I might be a mermaid."

"Mermaids? I don't remember those."

"I think they were friends to PEter pan, but maybe that was the movie. I have to find the script. The teacher says every part is important.." She blushes "But i still wouldn't mind one that's you know mORE Important."

"Of course you wouldn't."

"Yeah, guess it's only normal" Gerd pauses, "Do you want a ticket to be in the audience? " hopeful

A frown, brows furrowed. "When is it?"

"Uhm next month, but I forget the exact date. I'll find out for you okay?" Hope still shines

"If I'm around, sure."

And HUG

"Thanks, Dagmar"

She looks startled, and gives Gerd a sort-of awkward pat.

They part and she smiles "Dont worry about tickets, we get some for free. "

"Heh. Sure, kid."

"And if I'm just a tree or something, it'll be okay. I'll just pretend I'm an Oak."

"Like the dog?"

"Oh no, like the Liam tree.." She laughs at something "I bet barking while in a tree costume would get me in trouble "

"Better not bark p the wrong tree, right?" A cough.

Okay, that gets more laughter

Yes , she's clearly too young to know better than to laugh at a pun

A sheepish smile.

"Thanks Dagmar, that cheers me up, and today I met a sluagh heard music I hadn't, and folks want to support my play. It's a good day."

"Sounds it!"

She bounces.. no, skips off.

That kid is just 20 pounds of happy in a 5 pound bag of joy

A shake of her head before she leans back against the tree - not heading for the lodge just yes. Instead, solitude and dappled sunshine.

Which ain't half bad

(End or pause scene, but at least Dagmar gets dappled sun shine)
