She sets the drone down on her mobile desk. She had to rig this ever since she could no longer reach her regular work surface with her belly in the way. This is kind of a baker's rack with the desk surface just above the level of her belly. Kid still kicks it sometimes, though.

"Whassup, chica?"

"You been doing anything? Half the junk in the parts box is gone..stimulators, suction parts I normally use for the cleanerbots to pull the grease out, and loads of contraction nodules."

She slips the desk harness over her shoulders (designed so she won't push her wheeled worksurface away), and peers through both her goggles and one of a series of magnifying glasses that sprout from the desk's surface on articulated arms.

"I been doin' anythin'? Aw, hell no, I jus' sittin' 'round, watchin' th' fuckin' Telemundo and mainlinin' bonbons." A snort as she peers at the drone. "Course I been workin'...what, like you akshully NEED that stuff?"

Then she looks up and peers at the younger nocker. "How old is you now? I ferget."

"Well, furk yeah! You told me I needed to work on something better than pneumatic tube delivery system so we had something to shoe big blue! But I can't steam tek that bitch without half that stuff."

"Old enough not to let some guy do me what Nec did to you" smirk

An off-hand delivery of the middle finger. "Yeah, well, keep it that way fer now. An' guess you better get on down to th' junk yard, see whatcha c'n scrounge."

"You gettin' action, though? Gotta guy?"

She rolls her eyes, then her spirals pink "No.. don't furking want one. Stupid Beltaine's got folks all gooshy... but not furking me. All that lovey duvey crap..." BRIGHTER red spirals the more she talks

A dubious look. "That why you all lit up red like a goddam baboon's ass?"

"Because I'm embarrassed I have to go furking junk diving when no one is going to attach a milker to his chest..just let me take that apart and put it to something useful!"

That is a blatant attempt to evade, and her apprentice is risking a tongue lashing (or having a diaper attached to her) to get change it.

"Hey! Sit th' fuck down!" She points at a chair and expects Symond to do so.

"This here shit ain' jus' some drek!" She picks up the Moob Motiv8R and shakes it in the girl's face...it wobbles disconcertingly.

She sits. Glaring

"This here be a goddam game changer! This be th' kind of shit what women gonna spend BUCKS for. An' all we need's jus' one guy...jus' ONE GUY t' test th' fuckin' prototype, an' we in business. Only MY MAN BE TOO MUCH OF A PUSSY!" she calls after Nec, though he's long since out of earshot.

"I mean...lookit this shit! Tellin' you, it like the Dreamin' jus' come down an' be makin' genius shit through my hands! That what they call genuine inspiration, Greasemonkey."

Mumble look away, "But first you gottan get a guy to do it"

"Don' I know it. So, 'kay, you ain' got no guy to enlist..." A pause. "You sure you ain' got no guy? Cuz you was lookin' awful sketchy 'bout that."

"I don't got no guy, okay? There are girls like a year younger than me that have a date to beltaine and I don't OKAY???"

She blinks at her. "Well, why th' fuck not? What the hell wrong wit' you?"

GLARE

"I'm sayin'...you cuter 'n a bug's ass, why ain' nobody tryna get wit' you?"

She looks at her shoes, "Don't know. Maybe they don't agree wit you. I mean.." A shrug, tight as a tick.

"Aw, fuck that noise. Anybody wit' eyes gonna 'gree with me on that." She frowns, considering. "Who you got yer eye on?"

And we're blushing again

"Naw, girl. 'Fess up."

a mutter mumble

"Don' make me install a fuckin' volume control."

"Pedro..he's..this guy, who has been working at Duff's shop, you know, cleaning and stuff. Part time? Dont' think you met him."

"Pedro, huh? What he be?"

"He's like..nice to me and drek. You know? I tell him he's doing stuff wrong, and he ...like tries to fix it. Instead of whining like a wimp"

"Yeah?" Tweak considers this. "So, you tell him he doin' th' askin'-you-to-Beltane thing wrong, an' he gotta fix it."

"What if he says no?" Aghast

"What if..what if he don't furking ask?"

"I'd rather suck nitrous and die"

"A'ight...so you ask him." A shrug.

"And if he says NO?" Aghast

"A'ight, aight!" Hands up. "Hang on, lemme think..." She taps her fingers on her desk surface, then looks down at her belly. "You got any ideas, kid?"

Oddly enough, there's a gurgle, and Tweak gets an idea. So far, her apprentice has avoided giving Pedro's kith.

That could be something to press on.

A look. "What you say he be? Kith-wise?"

mutter mumble "A pisher"

Well, no wonder she's embarrased to admit it.

A look...a pause...and she bursts out in a braying laugh. "You shittin' me!"

"He's furking nice" She says, "And..kind of tall..." A mutter "For a boggan" Hopeful look, "his grandmother was a troll"

"Oh, man...Yeah, okay, so halfways he bein' all must be appropriate guy, an' th' troll part of 'im prolly convinced he ain' 'lowed to have sex. You sure c'n pick 'em, Greasemonkey."

"Yeah, well, you know, the screw will get used when it's furking right.. I just want the jerk to ask meo the frickin beltaine to dance n shit!" Humiliated "What is it with boys they don't know what we want when we want it? Are they stupid? I Flirt! I told him he didn't suck and everything!"
