Frank's great blade is in his hand. His goal is the success of his quest.... but his duty is to his Oathmate.

He stays with her.

Brekke bellows, "GREDA!" and then "RIVERVALE!" as she meets a foe -- oh, she tries to get to Twisthorn, Speaker singing as she swings the axe with all her might.

She catches sight of Frank at the corner of her eye. "GO!" she yells.

He snarls, and goes.

God help anything between him and the chest; they are only slowing down his return to Brekke.

Speaker seems almost to heat Brekke's hands, not burning at the handle, but the edge. And biting through Twisthorn's shield, one can almost imagine a voice "Puppet of the red court, she who wields me will lay your entrails before the crows as lesson of the dangers of villainy. Your fate thread snaps today"

A Fuath near the chest sees Frank, she curls near it, sniffin, and then slashes at Frank, tearing at him "No no no! the eye is not for you"

Brekke's eyes widen with a fierce battle joy as she strikes at Twisthorn again and again.

Frank blocks with his blade, and uses whatever's in the room next; a table, a chair, wrench the door off the hinges and use it to block so his blade can be used to attack.

Frank blocks like a made man, seizes a stone bench with one hand and using it as a barrier, cuts at her hag face! She screams, and someone else comes into aid her, two ogres. "Kill him, kill him and..."

Brekke's speaker bites deep, hacking, striking, but Twisthorn snarls and spits a gob at her "Wither and die, Falconslave" And she starts to age!

No time for ogres; he casts Primal to bind them with and to the wood of the room.

Brekke swipes the spit from her face and flings it back at him, bunking for the earth below his feet to turn to quicksand and devour him.

Frank blinds one, the other is partially blinded, but sniffs and sendss a massive strike into the back of him

Brekke's move is bold, but her silver hand? it does not age as it takes the gob off her and flings it back! And Twisthorn sinks into the mire, even as he himself starts to age! "No! "

Frank staggers forward, dropping the stone bench in the direction of the hag, hoping to hit her even as he is off balance, falling....

She takes the opportunity to aim a strike at his head or neck as he sinks.

Bova sees something, and hurls her spear!

Frank watches as a spear sails into the room, nailing the ogre into the head !

Frank lifts his blade and, kneeling now, strikes at the hag guarding the chest.

Bova gasps and gurgles as one Fuath slits her throat from behind,her attempt to help Frank rewarded with opprtunism

"I sacrifice thee to the dark masters" She cackles "may it give me strength to undo the curse on..." the slayer is working it into a bunk

the Hag goes down as frank breaks every rib in her body!

Brekke turns and slashes at the Fuath with her heavy axe blade,

The blood flows, Jaymes runs forward and throws is own spear at another Ogre, definitely getting it's attention

Frank kens the chest quickly.

Nothing, no glamour at all. Which is impossible in the Dreaming. Everything is made of glamour here

Brekke wheezes, striking her foe weaker than before... wrinkled skin and rot...

The weakness takes her by surprise, but she switches gears as quickly as she can...she grabs a handful of her own hair and pulls out a clump, yelling hoarsely, "May each of these hairs be as a hundred cuts against you!" And she flings the hairs at the Fuath, casting Holly Strike.

that works...

and this Fuath dies

Jaymes yells,"Brekke, the shield, it's glowing... raise it"

Frank lifts the chest, tucking it under his arm like a football.

Brekke is about to go help Bova, but she follows Jaymes's command almost without thinking.

And the shield burst with the powerof Summer and Spring light flies everwhere

... and, when nothing happens to him in so doing, Frank picks up his sword and runs from the room, heading back to the ship.

Nothing happens, but a light engulfs and...

Brekke feels her youth return! Indeed, for just a moment, she looks like a wilder!

She's startled first by the display and then...Oh, lungs that can breathe easily, arms strong enough, and no pain! She smiles wolfily....then turns to help Bova.

Frank sees Jaymes ccalling out "They're coming in numbers like you won't believe..."

"I have it! Get everyone back. Send the signal!" That's all the breath he spares; the rest is for running.

Brekke presses her hand against the wound on Bova's neck. "You are not relieved of duty yet, Storm!" And she whistles a quick chorus of Doctor Doctor...if she can.

As soon as there's ANY improvement, she picks up Bova and RUNS.

A gurgle, and... shaky, but alive

And there are FLAMES! But not flames without shape, without form... no! the candles of the orb have been lit!

"Yes...." She can't spare the breath for a full cheer.

Torrad will give the signal as soon as Frank is in sight of the ship.

And are tearing through every Thallian they can find, and most of the Dark Kin! Balefiresworn, transformed! They move with purpose , seeking out the dark and snuffing out shadows.

Something storms through crushing alon with the flames! There's a T-Rex! It's killing Dark Kin and Thallian too.
