An hour passes, then another...

Brekke watches with Frank for a while, but then works with Siv on ship prep.

Frank tears himself away from the rail, tending to his ship's business.... but glances out frequently.

Siv moves along the ship, ,and asks, "So, this Sylvi, she be " She corrects her ship slang "She IS the daughter of Kerri the Hearth, and Olgar the Rover. is Olgar the one who likes doing jokes?"

"Vali is the jokester." Brekke answers. "Though...Olgar has a sense of humor as well."

"Vali, right" A pause "Any cute guys just a little bit older than me at the lodge?"

"Asking for a friend" She says with humor

"Siv...we have been sailing so very long...I do not know how old they will all be when we return. They might be the same age, or..." She shakes her head.

"Oh" and she's serious "I'm..sorry. I know that you worry about me. I'll be okay, ye know that right? You've raised me proper, whatver happens, I've had a good chidlinghood and a great life so far"

"Oh, my girl." She puts an arm around Siv. "Yes. We have done our best. And...I am so glad you are in our lives. But you know what to do. If things go badly...try your best to find Rivervale, someday, but do right by yourself one way or another."

"Mom, we are ALL Making it home" Firm nod "You still haven't introduced me to things like dad's favorite pizza place, or those woods you love to walk when you like to be at peace. "

A fond smile. "And the beaver family, remember. Yes...we will make it home. That is the plan."

"Anyway, tell dad he doesn't have to worry, and you don't worry and..."

She turns to look in the direction of the sound.

Frank turns, on alert, ready....

It's Clem, still bird sized, but mostly a troll, save for her left arm that looks like a mangled wing

"Clem, are you ok...." He steps forward to catch her, if needed.

"Clem!" She moves carefully to her. "Are...." She looks at the wing and her size, and rephrases. "Is anything broken?"

Well, she's already hit the deck but slowly, slowly she begins to grow "I..learned a bit"

((AFK just a mo. Keep talking))

"Got caught in another FIrbholg's wake, there are more of them than I thought..."

"More? How many?"

"Firbholgs? At least 10... there's beast men and women..fuath I think? There's one woman with lots of arms. And thallian, ogres, goblins... more underhis banner. I didn't see the eye myself, but there's this box, it's in chains and tied up as if what ever is in it is ddangerous."

Brekke scowls. "No chance we can defeat that kind of force." She thinks. "Could the box be a decoy? Is it...tied up, but obvious."

"To him, it might be." He gestures to Brekke. "She seems hurt."

"It'll be okay. It's weearing off. She's bigger than a child now

The wing is turning into an arm, slowly.

"Give her time." She looks in the direction of the Island, scowling.

OOC To clarify, CLEM seems hurt. Not Brekke. I think we're good.

"It could be a trick, true, but I didn't see it anywhere else, and I heard some of the Thallian. Talkin. They don't like the thing"

"You know where it is? And how to get there from here?"

"I know where the box is, and can get to it. Getting it out might be tricker. Frank, I need your help. You know runes better than I."

Frank nods. "I could Veil myself."

Brekke considers. "They had their own ships in dock?"

"Not all, at least 2 spots were open but showed recent use." Clem flexes her fingers, "Siv, you got paper or something I can draw on?" //"Sure, Clem" Siv fetches and returns with it

"We should make sure we can get away, and not be pursued." Frank rumbles.

Clem makes marks and shows them to Frank , they're not nordic

Frank frowns, tracing them with a callused finger.

"If Franky can drag the mines toward the docks, collide them into the docks and ships, then we have both a distraction and fewer ships that might pursue us."

"Thats... bold," Clem says, "I like it."

"Yes, but it is also an initiation of warfare. We would be the aggressors."

Frank looks up with a wry expression for his wife. "Creeping in and stealing the Eye -isn't-?"

"Clem, these runes; they were on the box you think the Eye is in?"

"Yes. But I coulddn't make them out"

Brekke comes over to look over Frank's shoulder at the runes.

"Not surprised; they aren't from a single source. Different traditions, languages... but they're designed to contain Glamour. Hold it, that is. Isolate."
