He shows them to Brekke.

Clem sighs "Really need to study"

Brekke takes a look at them. "It might not be anything you could study, Clem. The rules are different here."

"Well, Frank seems to have it down" She counters "But thanks"

He body is back to normal now

"Mm." A noncommittal response, and she looks at the runes again. "So...if it is a decoy, they have marked it as if it were not. That implies it is genuine."

"You two seem to 'know' Twisthorn better than I." Clem is still drawing, laying out a map

"Not any specific details. Memories of a battlefield, an army under his banner...."

She watches the map take shape, strategizing.

"I saw his banner, the largest was in front of this building." She gestures, "The others were like mishmash huts"

Brekke tries to get a sense of the relationship between the building, the docks, and the location of the Eye.

Jaymes looks over, "This building with the banner nearby, and the space and central location, higher up. Probably where he sleeps"

"Where was the chest with the Eye, Clem?"

"Here, near the very place he would be sleeping at if Jaymes is right. Whatever this is, he wants it close"

Frank exhales. "It's bound up in rune that block, or counter-act, Glamour. Not cold iron, but.... between that and the way Fir Bholg bend things around them...." He scratches his beard.

"So...we cannot Gimmix it. And any Veil would be broken upon coming close. So...this will demand mortal methods."

"Brute force it is. " Jaymes says

Brekke nods. "And camouflage."

"Sounds like a plain old viking raid for sure."

That last from Clem

Brekke grins a bit at that. "Those from Thyle may have some tips for us in that."

"Clem, what kind of physical defenses did you see?" Frank looks frustrated. "If we can't use our magics on them, and they have magics they can use on us, we lose. Unless..." He looks at Brekke. "Use the Treasures we have?"

"I saw some fences with spiked tops, here and here on the map, forcing some paths or trying to. Everyone is armed, but to be fair, they don't seem terribly organized about it, more like dangerous scrappers than soldiers"

"The Candles." She nods. "And I want you to determine what that shield can do, Frank."

Frank nods. "I'd like to see if we can take out those fences. I don't like the possibility of being herded."

Clem nods, "I thought about those. We can use them. They're Chimerical fences. I can burst them open or reshape em"

"In fact, some of them are bent and warped... the Fir Bholgs"

"Can you...reshape them? Changing the paths they think they have established."

Frank nods, liking this.

"Sure can" Clem smiles "I will want some of the dross supplies."

Then a pause, "And...I think I knnow what I could shape some of them into"

"Cages?"

"No...trolls, well, not real trolls, but decoys, look alikes"

"Let them think we have twice our number"

"And yes...I cannot think of a better use of dross right now."

"Oh...that is good, Clem. Yes."

Jaymes nods, "I can see why Cadman was chasing her. Pretty, Smart, and with a capacity for destruction."

Clem blushes caught offf guard by that

Siv grins

Frank frowns a glance at Jaymes. "Here's the thing... are we using what they are strong with against them? Deception, illusion... are those things they are better at? Should we be focusing on what they are unprepared for?"

"I mean, if we're good with this, I'm good with this. Just bringing up the question."

Jaymes nods, "Oh, we need brute power too. You heard me say that. But if we can take control of the terrain away, force them to face us one on one at best...we'll have the edge I think. Though the Ogres will be strong"

"We should be able to out-smart Ogres."

"Yes." She thinks. "All right...Clem is in charge of transformations...Frank, with the runes and the need to be fast, I think that you must fetch the prize."

"And I'll help" Siv says

"Siv, I..." She stops, staring at the girl for a long moment.

Then she looks to Frank.

"I'll help" Siv says jaw set "Mother, Father. This is my fight too. Am I of Rivervale or not? Even if I've never seen it. Only heard, it's what you two are fighting for, what you love. So I love it too, and I have a right to fight for it."

Brekke's voice is low. "This is no game, Siv."

Frank is definitely not on board with this idea.
