The Headless Horseman gallops across the wooden bridge, as if looking for Ichabod!

Meanwhile, Zara and Earl enjoy their picnic

There is, of course, tea.

Of course. Earl whispers as the Chimera rides, "Is it my imagination or is the horse darker this year?"

"Tis black, nu?"

"Or shade and shadow. Ebon. Night-shade."

"Yes, seems to drink in more moonlight tonight though. Interesting effect," The artist in him is intrigued.

"Mayhaps thou canst bottle this night and turn it into pigment for they canvases."

"Perhaps," A smile "Make it like the light has been drank and not from the horse's mouth, that place where soft blues bend to purple before turning to black."

"Let it sup light from the gallery, gathering shadows beyond the frame."

Zara hears footsteps sneaking up, not on them, but trying to sneak up on the headless horseman chimera. A nocker childling, dressed in... is that ghostbuster gear with a proton pack?

She raises a brow. "Child, if you wish to court chaos, must it be tonight?"

The goggles lower, and they can see it's a girl, she whispers "Shh, he'll furkin get away. Sides, if I get him in the Containment center I can have a lot of headless horsepower."

"Mayhaps, but it would disturb our picnic."

The girl sighs "Darn wilders with your smoochy smoochy... so gross."

Earl arches a brow, "YOu know, it could happen to you."

"Nu uh," The childling makes a face.

Earl looks to Zara and shrugs, and whispers "I could flickerflash her away."

Zara rasps with laughter. "Thy own scorn shalt by thy doom!"

A waggle of long pale fingers. "In wilder turnings, feelest then the smoochiest of yearnings!"

There is no need for a flicker flash, the childlling gasps! "Furkin Heebie Jeebie cursed me! I gotta go find an antidote! Furk..." And she flees, certain she has been cursed.

Zara flumps against Earl's side, giggling.

Earl tries not to laugh, but lips closed or not, Zara can hear the laughter thunder softly in his chest.

She stretches to kiss the place where his jaw meets her ear. Smoochies!'

He returns the gesture, more deep chuckles, and whispers "Most perfect of women and witches, in years to come she'll remember this. And the horseman rides on."

"And the little kobold shalt live to see those wildling years, so, all in all..."

"Oh aye," Earl chuckles and offers her a tiny albeit slightly molded sandwich to her, "All in all... heebie jeebie at work."

His eyes twinkle.

"That's me!"

"None other," He takes her hand with his freehand.

She entangles her fingers with his, content as can be.

And they get to enjoy an Ichabod chimera 'yipe' and run as the Horseman begins to give chase.

Fade to a perfect night
