(Perception plus Kenning for Zara)

Her kenning notices something... amid the food. It snuck in through the crack

(Normally a Perception plus Alertness would follow after but I ain't gonna bother 😉 ) It's a chimera inside of there

a small one

looking something like this:

The chimera seems to be speeding decay among Tizzy's food just by contact. Decay that takes days sped up greatly.

The others do not notice, as it is rather small, no bigger than a sluagh's thumbnail

"Oh, sheynkaytele!"

She tilts her head, studying the wee beastie.

This little chimera is frustrated, autumn has been too slow in coming in so many parts of Concordia. Perhaps it was picked up in Southern Grass, where warm spells clash with storms, but the trees are changing too slowly. Perhaps it is locale, though it should be happier here. All it knows is that it is the time of healthy decay so old may shed, new may grow. So it has taken things into it's own hand and started to rot things to catch up! It is an autumn dream, a dream of decay and discarding artfully, of withering BRIGHTLY... oh it is not garish, one needs the grays and browns for the brighter colors to stand out that much more impressively. Zara doubts it has the power (or inclination) to age kithian or make them rot , but little touches of nature? Leaves, food? This it speeds along a wickedly wonderful way to the laggering last steps so renewal can be had.

Tziporah squints, now that Zara has brought attention to it.

"The little sucker ruined my food" She huffs

Arguably, that 'little sucker' has brought all of Tizzy's offerings to sluagh perfect doneness, but an Eshu prefers fresher fare

"Oh, nay, tis not ruined. It does smell delightful. But... mayhaps... it would do well outside, where the leaves are yet to turn."

"Yes, take it outside" Hannah wrinkles her nose. She won't ask for someone to kill it. Zara would be SO distraught if anyone did.\

"Allow me?" Earl offers

"Nay, I wish to."

"Just get it away from my offerings, please" Tizzy sighs 'Looks like you get a lot of left overs, sis. I hope you like extra kuggle"

Earl steps back to leave it to Zara's nimble fingers

Hannah gives Tziporah a hug "It is the thought that counts, and it was VERY wonderful for you to bring some. "

"I am sorry, Tziporah. It was very unfortunate."

"It's okay" Tziporah says "I was trying to learn how to cook for... uhm" A blush "You know, useful skill"

Hannah is not a boggan, but she is a mom, and 'ding' goes her momdar

"Well, you have no better teacher than Mama."

"It's a family tradition" Hannah agrees

Tziporah now smiles with pleasure "Guess this turned out all right, but really, Zara, get that bug out of here before I get cranky about it."

"Aye-yi-yie. I'm going, I'm going."

"Come on, my little punim. I'll show you a nice tree."

Zara deftly guides the tiny bug onto a finger, then into her palm. There's a WONDERFUL sensation of creative crumbling, of inventive decay. Zara is unharmed, but for a moment she can imagine the skin on her hand even thinner, and even covered with sinister seeming liverspots!

She floats outside, finding the most artistic place to deposit the chimera so it can get to work.

Zara has her favorite places here. A section of bushes that made a 'cave' of sorts when she was smaller, and the big ole tree that the local kids swore looked like it was trying to grab you with witch hands. Either will do... the tree will probably turn glorious colors wit ha bit of help

And so there it is placed.

Almost immediately, it trails along the still too green leaves, reminding her of Earl when he finds a blank canvas he's neglected

"Aye, thou shalt make a beauteous autumn."

the little thing trails along one leaf, already the green seems to be gaining a deep red underlining.

A happy flitter, as it realizes it can work with this indeed, and Zara watches it go to check out the entire tree

She hears Earl has joined her, and from behind he says "Good place for it. Feeling a kindred spirit?"

"A bit of needful change, nu?"

"Yes" He agrees, "And I think your mother will love it. I did't ken any malice in the little thing. It's a frustrated artist is all"

They admire the view for a while "You must have had fun growing up here"

"Mostly, aye."

A soft nod

A voice calls out "You guys coming back in?" Tziporah inquires

"Coming!" Not that is carries, but hey

Her Trueheart smiles , then calls out, not too loudly but louder, "We're coming... I was just ravishing your sister in a torid moment of trollish passion, please don't tell her parents"

Clearly the man has been in a Fiona hold too long!

She gently thwaps him on the arm.
