A smile "Just me that jumped then. Yeah, I think she's wondering about grandkids. I kind of hinted back that you MIGHT go for a masters... to buy us time if you wanted?"

"Are you planning on getting your masters?" He asks finding himself curious

"I... I would like to graduate first."

An apologetic look crosses his face "I'm sorry. I shouldn't stress you out on a holiday, or any day" He takes her hand and rubs it gently

"I am.. not sure about grad school. I love to read, I love to learn."

"But..." She huffs.

"But you don't like the socializing or the.... is it right ot say 'intrusive nature'? that can arise?"

"Something like that. And I disliked being so far away."

He squeezes her hand again, "What ever you decide about your education, I'll support. " A beat "Now Tizzy tries to drop out before she graduates high school, we torment her . Agreed?"

"Oh yes."

A gentle kiss, brief but fond

then Tizzy returns "Guys, you have to see this. Jacob is here ... and they made him dress up like Mordechai. It's hilarious"

"I bet he doesn't think so" Earl observes

"anyone who laughs" whispers Jacob in his garish Mordechai outfit "Will feel my wrath"
