" I know I've upset you, I'm just not sure of the details how?" He answers honestly

"Did something happen?"

"I got a bit dizzy but no I.." he ponders then realization "oh. I .. had a surprise for you? "

"A surprise?" Perk!

"It was going to wait till Yule, but yeah, a big surprise" He admits

"Then again, this is a holiday.." He swallows nervously

The Raven looks between the two of them

"Oooookay..."

"Well, you know how you have that magic key that can take raw supplies and create a house like that? A dream house?" He asks

"....Aye..."

"Well, I always suspected, when we were older, you'd want to do that close to home"

"Well, close to your family I mean. " He coughs "LIke when we finally do hit grump age?"

"...aye?"

"Well, there's not that many opportuniies near here.. nto close. So.. when I saw the land go up for sale, Tizzy's family... I thought maybe it would be best to.. buy it. For later?"

He looks nervous. And he should be. Even without a house on it, no property in Scarsdale is Cheap. On the other hand.. the same street as her parents?

"How... how did you afford it?" She blinks.

"Called in a few favors. Caesar, Sally Mae. " A swallow "Bank"

"We shall have to tell my family!" Oh, Earl gets a hug!

He's stunned. " Ithought you might be mad at me" But he hugs back

"Why? We shall figure out how to pay for it, aye. And I DO have that key..."

"I done good?" He blinks "I mean, I DID well?"

She answers THAT with a kiss!

And kissed he is , and he kissses back. The Raven murmuers happily

and a small voice goes 'yucko'

Earl shakes his head smiling, then looks to her "Only thing I'm worried about is how will Tziporah take it? I think she'd rather we have it than someone else."

"I think so, too."

"Sally Mae.. she thinks we should put up the house now.. and rent it out. Or Air BnB it. Says the house starts new, then by the time we move into it, it would be worn"

"Oh, but renters may..." She considers. "We could rent to kithain, who would be more reasonable."

"Obviously there would need to be some rules. Pink Flamingos on the lawn would trigger Mazanna"

An amused chuff.

"More that.. the candle makes a dream house, aye? What if a renter were to go in and paint aught pastel?"

"Madness" he states

"Precisely."

"So, kithain and or kinain only... and with a few rules about what can be altered or changed. But reasonable rates in these trying times?"

Zara nods.

"Well then.." He says looking at her "You know what this means right?'

"What?"

"You get to break out those designs for the floor plans and other ideas and go over them to decide that final bone structure of the house will be.. pre aged. We'll let time take care of that. " A smile "Just don't forget my future prison"

"True!"

A smile "Have fun designing... may I suggest at least one room that you have to squirm or portal passage to get into?"
