A pop... annd there Calanthe is, on a very nice neighborhood street. No pink flamingos

She scans the neighborhood, and then checks herself - at least the news came while she was out to a nice lunch - and not covered with ash, tree resin and bird... let's say, feathers.

Straightening her hair, and starting to walk, she looks for any likely marks.

A blue brindle scruff of a dog peeks out from behind a car and trots out as if to greet her

and once in the yard, sits like a teddy bear

She is surprised to see a bear - teddy bear... no, a teddy dog, sitting out in the open. Calanthe kens it, curiously.

While she is no lover of dogs, she's seen enough fae hounds to recognnize signs even when they're not enchanted

"Hmm. " She walks over, checking if the hound has a collar or tag. Scruffy thing... but Fae heritage is not to be slighted.

"Where is your keeper?" She asks.

In a perfect world, un enchanted fae hounds would talk when addressed by AIlil. ALas.. no, but no one seems to be in the area no open fences or doors either. And it does not look at any particular house

She taps a toe, and tries again. "Did you come through a Trod? Lead me to it." Perhaps there is a way to get about that Bachdion wasn't aware of."

the dog stops, at that, and seems to grasp it IS a command, annd walking slowly, it leads her to the corner of the street

Ugh. Will she be lowered to learning Primal? She hopes not, as she follows the dog to the corner.

There at an empty child's playground, are three other dogs of the same sort, well, not exactly, of course . The colors vary, wheaton. They all perk up. One dog chews at what looks to be a folder but the clasp holds, for now

THIS is.. .not a trod

She snaps her fingers in concealed irritation. And yet, this is a lead. Perhaps? She moves over and reaches - No, she works with very temperamental birds. She regards the dog with the folder, and asks, "May I have that?"

These are not hawks, but perhaps a scrap of dried meat from her pouch will still suffice.

The dog gives it over , quicker if meat is provided. They are a little hungry, but non starving

The meat is withheld until it gives the prize - as works for Hawks. Then, she grants it and opens the folder.

Papers of lineage

A fine pedigree, the name of the dams and sires...

Brows rise a little. She checks how many hounds are listed in the litter, and how many are here.

Not all from the same litter it seems, but all degreed

She contemplates for a moment - does she have time for this? No further alerts from her Thanes... perhaps a false alarm on the wards. But the glamour kickback was somethign ELSE... she chews at a lip, worried.

"Alright, you... " She names them each per the paperwork. "If you wish to come with me, follow now. I am going to a hold where the Liege is very fond of dogs. There will may find welcome, if not coddling. Keep up, now."

Annd they follow. I mean, she has meat

Where to go, though? She looks around, and watches for a car.. strike that, a truck or mini van, that she might flag down.

She sees a vehicle stop... that's not unusual... out of it steps a sluagh who strides away, but she was cclearly a passenger.

Knight's heart rides? What's that?

It's written in chimerical display on the side...

But she best move quickly , the satyr in the driver's seat is starting it up

She strides up and taps on the window.

Just in time, he opens it up, "Yeah?"

The satyr driver is not ugly, nor is he handsome. He does have an oddly pleasing smell

"I find myself and my... mm, entourage, in need to escort to Silverwolf - Carthage, East of Watertown off 81."

"You're a sweet glass of ice water ain't ya?" He looks her over "That's not exactly a short trip. Cash or dross?" An eye at the dogs "Hope they're potty trained"

She blinks, and looks at the logo again. Here, she had been ready to Dictum her ride, but... this is much easier.

"Cash. I will make it worth your while to make haste. And... " A sigh. "Let us pull through one of those... 'Burger Boys' on the way."

"You got it, beautiful" He steps out and moves to her side to open the door for her and her 'enterogue'

Sniff. Damn he smells good

“Come on then, if you’re coming.” She says to the hounds. She gesture for them to hop into the back.

Distracted a touch by the fine fellow driver.

Well trained, they get into the van!

Calanthe takes her seat. “Thank you Mister…” a pause for him to offer a name

"Kastur" A grin and he reaches over to offer his hand.

"Nice to meet you" the smell is tantazlizing

She normally would wrinkle her nose at shaking a hand with a cabbie... but what the hell, she's already 'slumming it', and gives a shake. "Calanthe. Dame Calanthe, of SilverWolf."

"Silverwolf? Huh. Can't say I heard of it, but if it's got more pretty birds like you I definitely hope to visit"

A small smirk. "We have the loveliest Birds in all of Apples... or perhaps Concordia."

"Yeah?" He starts to drive as told "Seeing your plumage, I don't doubt it." Really that musk is...wonderful. A shame the right to life prevents her from having him squeezed into various bottles and bathoils

And they drive.
