Somewhere, a neighbor considers calling the police, then remembers; it's passover, so the Schwartz's........ right.

Zara offers Hannah a cup of tea, too.

She takes it with a sigh.

Earl seems to hold his own despite the insults to his taste (or lack there of), Iowa, and trolls in general

"They really are quite fond of him."

"AND ANOTHER THING!"

"Only one? Careful, you might bust something..."

"I'M JUST GETTING STARTED!"

An eyebrow, then a nod at the brandy.

Hannah nods and pours a tot in her own cup, offers it to Zara.

A murmur of thanks as she takes some.

"Take it out to them." She murmurs.

"...hey, my generation is getting used to cleaning up the mistakes that..."

BOTH eyebrows - go out there? No no... coffee first.

Dose the coffee.

Hannah hears Earl's generation gambit and adds more to the coffee.

A sigh.

"FEH!" might be heard... and Earl may have joined in

oh god, he's harmonizing with them

Hannah pats Zara's hand and takes the coffee tray out to them.

Hannah avoids wearing a pot-helmet, but only just. She returns quickly, sans tray.

And Earl's manners shift , one does not FEH at or in the immediate proximity of Hannah "Thank you, Hannah."

Hannah gives Earl a -look- but nods as well. And gone.

And Earl acts much more contrite at that look

So the Uncles get a few free licks in while he remembers to be a good boy.

Hannah drinks a little tea (whatever it takes to get through the holiday) and continues preparing dinner.

Zara helps! Being home is nice. Tradition, familiar ritual - and yes, the arguing is part of tradition - bring a certain comfort and happiness.

Zara might overhear something odd... the Uncles have gotten quiet too. Are they having a discussion in there? Wait.. a hushed conversation just the men?

She pricks her VERY SHARP ears!

...trying to whisper in HER house... honestly...

".... something nice for..." "... but best not to talk in details here..." "how soon do you need it?" "... soon..but ...well, I'll text..." "texting feh..." etc

Earl is plotting a niceness!

There, all the prep is done and the brisket is in the oven.

Which, other than being off-puttingly fresh, seems quite nice.

Well, there's last year's saved, as well.

Zara peeks in - yes, it has turned a lovely greenish-grey; gently fuzzed with black and white blooms of mold around the edges like tiny sleeping chinchillas.

Zara hears more.. yup. Definitely a gift plan

A gift for whom?

She suspects ..for her.

Of course she does - that's why she listens so closely!

and then the word 'ring' is mentioned

...blink...

It's entirely possible she did not hear the proper context, but she definitely heard the word ring

PLOTTING.

A ring could mean MANY things. A key Ring. A new Ring Tone.

Hannah pauses in her work, listening.

"thank you so much... and death to the yankees"
