And she IS happy - home and warmth and family, even for a sluagh...

"Better move fast, I think she's about to gift and run." earl says "Want me to quick silver you?"

Zara bustles to open the door. "In! Come in, it's dinner time! Mama cooked for an army!"

"Aye, tis lovely. I like it very much. Come in, the apple pie is mine."

A duck behind the corner, then out with two legs Vashti steps "oh sister, this should be for family of love, I am a marley, my chains will clatter so." She adds "A shanda"

"A family of love, aye - so of course you belong here."

Vashti blushes "i am not worthy of such an oasis, toxicc as I.. i am such serenity is..."/One of the Uncles bellows something about the door open letting the heat out, you want to warm the whole neighborhood? or something alike that/The Pooka continues "The quiet" wryly

"Aye, aye, of course..." she whispers as she closes the door and herds the pooka towards the dining room.

Earl helps Hannah, moving chairs as she reorganizes

And by damn, Vashti gets a plate loaded down with all the trimmings before she can say nay...

Vashti's eyes widen as the food just..kkeeps growing "i shall explode"

"Well, so long as you take home leftovers..."

"The army at home will be so pleased" she whispers

"And eat for days!" ANd she passes the rolls.

Earl grins "Good to see you, happy thankgiving"//Moth smiles back at the troll, "Greetings Cornfed Gent and bringer of whispered smiles."

Boarding house reaches shall be fussed at, things can be handed around proper like!

Of course, plates that do get passed around might dwindle fast before they get to you

Dwindle? In Hannah's house?

One scoffs, for if a plate be emptied, it refills as if by magic!

Vashti looks both overjoyed and intimidated.

But, nonetheless, she is folded into the fabric of the holiday.

And fits quite well, Zara might think. Indeed, after a time, Vashti actually gives soft laughter as the two uncles get into another debate regarding exactly WHICH Turkey of yesteryear was the biggest ever in their lives. It ends up making fish stories look mild. Earl, feelilng bold, suggest that the DeBuke turkey of 2012 was the greatest of all in size! Blasphemy!

Oh, indeed!

And yet her boyfriend winks at her knowingly as he stirs the pot JUUUUST a little... and even he does not dare compare tastes.

Hannah's honor would, and should be defended!

Vashti, happily folded into the great mess of it all, takes it in with a sense of wonder and happiness with the amazement of someone who was blind suddenly able to see.
