Zara is still in the bathroom - hair now in a braid, but back to studying the choker.

She nods. "I don't feel enspelled...."

"Just.. stuck."

BIC: "Well, let's hope that that's all it is. Sorry, Zara. I am in full blown worry mode, and I think that ain't gonna change."

"It's pretty, isn't it?"

"It's the loveliest collar I've ever seen, but it makes me think he sees you as a pet or a slave, and that dims the attraction"

A soft hiss. "I am not a slave..."

"Damn right you're not," He says "And he's going to learn that." OOC: this is normally where he'd work the bolt cutters but I am wondering about the results of that roll

She holds her braid to the side, exposing the back of her neck to him. A soft line of bumps marks her spine as she bends her head forward.

Carefully he lines it up, then he puts his strength behind it to beak it.

Pop! It comes off.

Zara exhales, scuttling away from the thing.

"You okay?" he drops the bolt cutters.

And moves to her

She nods, though her face is red.

He wraps his arms around her, "Can I have your permission to do something?"

"What?" She leans into his hold, eye tightly shut.

"It is a beautiful necklace, but, I'd like your permission to get one made that's very much like it, just as beautiful, but this one will be from ME. My Hind, my hart, my heart. And you wear that one instead. May..may I do that?"

stroking her hair

She touches his hand. "I don't know..."

A nod "Too much like something that will have bad memories now?"

She nods. "A brooch? A ring... just..."

An admission, "With you, Zara, a ring is very much on my mind quite often. " A kiss, "Okay. Something different but still us. " A look to the necklace, "What do you want done with that? My first thought is have the darn thing melted down."

"No. No. Not melted."

"Okay. Maybe we take it to Uncle Emmit or..." A pause, "Do you want to show it to Miriam? Not Hirim, but Miriam?"

"No. She's away... she'd... she's busy with things. Maybe we could lock it away..."

"I could keep it, but you could hold the key?"

"I'll be honest, that thing seems like tattletale bait. I'd be more comfortable if we took it to a third party . Times like this I wish I had the sidhe art of Chronos."

"All the more reason to not take it to Emmit."

"Wrapped in silk, locked, make it a useless anchor...let it see naught but darkness."

"Ha. Emmit is a master of Chicanery remember? I think his magics could make anyone trying to spy through it see old tv commercials." A bit proud but at the rest, "If that's how you want it? But how will you lock it in a way you yourself cannot pick but I can?"

"I... I thought he was a sluagh, but now..."

"But now, if he's a sluagh, he's a titled one. And if he's not then he's likely a sidhe."

She wrinkles her nose.

"No. Miriam's a nocker..."

"that she is." He can't argue with that.

"Okay" No argument, "Buried Deep."

She nods. "But not melted. It's mine."

A wince "I love you, and told you I would not treat you like a child nor a damsel. So you say it is yours, and so it is. But I fear that thing is dangerous to you still. Perhaps in ways we cannot know."

"And I would like to tell Emmit about it and have him look over you to make sure no influence was used."

"And it might be useful, yet, in ways we don't know. But I don't wish to take it to the farm, either...."

"Plant it in Firnost Garden? Or is that the opposite of a good idea? It would be away from family "
