She's quiet again... her breathing evens, deepens... her eyes slip shut and her face goes slack.

Zara hums a little, watching and waiting. Fae ears catch little, broken scraps - mundane might recognize the lullaby. "numi numi yaldati..."

She sleeps.

And Zara takes what is usually an Uncle shift, waiting at the bedside.

Ratchet comes to the doorway, watching, and whispers. "Zara. Come."

She reluctantly rises and pulls away. "I'm sorry... I didn't think about the computers."

He shrugs. "It could have gone very bad but.... it didn't. So. Ok."

"She wanted to get out... mayhaps... mayhaps other little trips, building up?"

"Even just a walk around the block..."

He chuckles. "What, you don't think we can take care of her?"

She blushes. "I know you can. But.. but maybe... but maybe she needs air, too."

"Air. Feh. You need air?" But he's teasing.

"Air and light and rainwater and books. Mayhaps I a plant."

"A reading plant?"

"Well, yes. But I certainly need books. I will give up light, if need be."

"Ruin your eyes....."

"I have -excellent- eyes... "

"Hannah likes carrots, so we all get our Vitamin D.."

"So keep them that way!" A mock-bark.

She tips a salute "Aye aye"

"...when do you think she'll be ready to try?"

"Oy, Bubalah, let her sleep, nu? Soon, I'm sure. She'll ask, yes?"

"Sorry. Of course, yes."

He chuckles again, and tips her chin with his knotted index finger. "So. Tell Hanna and Aaron hello from me, and thank you for the Purim food."

"Okay, okay. Thank you for letting us go today, hm? I think she mostly enjoyed it..."

"Mmph. Yes, well." (Nockers.)

"Maybe... tuesday, maybe?.. maybe you come over, have dinner. Little trips."

"I'll ask Hirim to talk to Hannah. Be sensitive, mm?"

A little wince and she nods. "Sorry."

"S'ok, Bubalah. Don't worry about it."

"Didn't mean to.... I... Sorry. I'll be better."

"Zara.... " He sighs. "You are -fine,- verschtay? Your help has really meant a lot to us. I like that you're getting to know her. Please? Don't worry about it?"

"I just don't want to scr-... make things harder."

"You aren't! I just said!"

She bobs her head. "Right. Thank you, Onkl. Going to head home for a little while, I think..."

"Mmm." He presses a kiss to her forehead and walks her to the door.

A quick hug, and the sluagh heads out.
