"Enough for what?" Sylvi approaches, her backpack slung over one shoulder.

"Ooh? Anybody I know?"

"Geez" The big haired girl jumps a bit "Stealth trolls"

"Miss Garb" Masey answers "Dagmar says she's fit to pop. She teaches... what is it, General studdies? General education?"

"Doctor Garb, English Lit."

"Which is one of my gen-eds, yeah."

A grin at Masey. "You were just focused."

"Oh, yeah. I don't have her, but I've heard of her. New this year, right?"

"Oh, right and..true" The satyress gives Sylvi a hug "Missed you, you're so busy. Yeah, she replaced Pr. holden. "

"Right. She's, like, Vali's age? Maybe 30, which is kind of... I mean, I got the impression I was a late bloomer."

"That is late," she says with a frown. "But the Chieftain went late, too. Mom told me."

"Yeah, well, we can't just leave her..."

Masey ponders this "Wonder what kept her back until now? Could be a banal person before she came here"

"Yeah, but..." a deeper frown "That doesn't make sense. She teaches English Lit? That's, like, not the most banal subject. She's gotta have some imagination. You're sure she's kith, not kin?"

"Wait...maybe she did hatch earlier, but forgot herself?"

"I dunno, but we have to rescue her. Right?"

"Absolutely. What's the plan?" she looks to Dagmar.

Masey looks at Dagmar too

"I'm getting Flyswatter, and I was gonna go enchant her in her office?"

"She's done with her last class at 4..."

"She's got office hours then? Perfect. We'll go with, wait outside the office until we hear chaos start."

At the word 'chaos' Masey looks a wee bit nervous

On the contrary, Sylvi looks like she's expecting this to be fun.

"Yeah, that's why I figured being ready for a good fight would be smart. Chimera can get a little wild."

"You okay?" she asks Masey.

"Masey, trolls make VERY good walls. You can talk to the prof, and we can handle the crazy."

"Well.. okay. If I have to, I can even break out the gift of pan. That lowers banality, you know?"

"Yeah, get behind us when stuff gets nuts, it's cool."

"I can think of worse views than a pair of blue hewed protective buttocks in front of me" Masey winks "Thanks "

Sylvi grins and rolls her eyes.

"We got to get you two dancing soon anyway. It's the best thing for the heart ,ever" She says "Shall we go?"

"Yeah-huh."

"Lead the way!"

She does!

The three head towards Proffesor Garb's office. As she is a newer professor, she kind of got put in the back area of the building Lit and English share. Someone swindled Holden's spot no doubt. Still, while small and further back, she has a tree outside her window so.. that's nice.

"I'm glad she's way out on the wing, and not right in the middle."

"Yeah, less likely to get interlopers involved."

Masey says "You guys realize that when she blows, every kithain on campus will likely know it?"

"Yeah, it's going to be a matter of fighting off chimera and opportunists."

"Well, the sluagh janitor already knows. And other fae mostly won't hurt."

"And at least it's not likely to be sidhe riding in to poach her. Not around here."

They close on the office and see she is already there, shaking her head at an email and saying "Maybe your daughter should try, I don't know, NOT using a so called AI to do the work? Particularly when the not so intelligent AI actually copied the date of the original source material it was trying to pass on as her work from yesterday?"

"Nope. Wild west, that's us."

A rap on the door frame.

The Professor looks up "Mmm? OH, hello. Sam." She rises and opens the door wider, "And..friends. Please, come in? How can I help you?"

"Hi," Sylvi waves, then asks Dagmar, "Sam, I can wait outside if you want?"

"Right, so, listen, as an athlete on scholarship, I like to make sure I meet all my profs?"
