Classes are going great! Dagmar's track is full blast boogie for victory!

And Sylvi is finding her professors engaging.

And, of course, they get to hobnob at their common ground

It's that wonderful part of the semester -- the topics are new, and the expectations are starting a little low as professors ease students into their topics.

Some students who were used to coasting on pure brilliance find that college has expectations of effort that high school doesn't, but for them the shock is getting high Bs instead of As

Symon might be heard grumbling about it, but even he is having a delight as he has access to ...shall we say forensic materials he'd never have elsewhere?

Dagmar has always had to work at school, and that is paying off now.

Indeed. Discipline gets Dagmar far. Even if she's not always comfy in some of the social aspects of college, the study part? She can press on. Never give up, never surrender!

Sylvi's the one who had some close calls with grades. She ended up with Bs and Cs, and is rather envious of Dagmar's GPA.

"How did you manage those grades, Dagmar?"

"I have to keep a 3-2-5."

"So I did."

Sylvi sighs.

"Symon helped a lot with math, and there's academic coaches and tutors..."

She furrows her brow. "Maybe I need a tutor," she says, blushing slightly.

Asking for help. Not Sylvi's strong point. ORGANIZING HELP she is used to

Well, yeah. She's been a CHEERLEADER...she's supposed to be perfect.

"Remember how we had study group, back home?"

"Maybe..." She lets it hang, hopeful.

"Oh! Y'know...yeah...that was fun. We should do that, but...well, I mean, we take different classes....?"

"Yeah, but... I dunno, we didn't take all the same in high school, either."

Odin eyes his food bowl

"True. And it kind of kept us accountable, that we actually had to do some studying. Reading sprints."

The one eyed cat taps his food bowl with a paw

"Right?"

"It's an idea."

She grins. "Odin has opinions. About food."

Swat bowl lightly

EYe-roll.

"He HAD dinner."

that was then, this is now.

"Let me go distract this big lug..."

She scoops up the cat, heading off to her room.
