A little crease between her brows. "Lots of them here."

The cat looks jittery, and darts behind a book case

“F-6.” He calls his play, keeping one eye on it.

“I miss Lovecraft. She’d keep the riff raff away.”

Behind the book case, another student comes out with a cup of coffee in one hand and a text book on tablet in the other

"Miss. She's, what - watching Lily?"

“Yeah. I worry about Lily. She’s clever.. but that’ll get her in terrible. And Lovecraft wouldn’t like being cooped up in a room all day. Quetz doesn’t mind, as far as I can tell.”

Quetz indeed seems to enjoy it, though he did consider eating a French Bulldog

"He seems okay, yeah. Doesn't harass Odin."

Dag shifts her weight, unable to quite sit still.

“You okay? G-2.” Calling another hit.

"I'm fine. Might have had too much Dr. Pepper today. C-3." She's been working down his side on a diagonal - not a bad strategy, actually.

“Oi. I see what you’re doing.” He checks the edges first, then working inward.

Dag's ships aren't clustered, or easily set in a pattern. Unlike her attack technique, steadily approaching like a persistence predator. "D-4?"

A wince. “Hit.” Good natured scowl.

“So this place ain’t bad. Need at least 4 players for a decent campaign though.”

“A-9.”

"I met a grey chick. So - autumn?"

"Me, you, her, Chelsea, Sylvi - maybe the guys?"

"E-4." There's soda, and battleship, and while Symon DOES win, it's by a hair - Dagmar still took out four of his, but he got a lucky strike on her sneaky little destroyer.

“Heh. Good work picking out my tug in the corner there.”

He looks confused at first, on edge, then puts it together. “Maybe. If they’re cool.”

"She seems okay? She's the one that gave me the tip about this place."

"She was like, 'Oh, Rivervale"

"I guess we have a rep."

He snickers. “Good.”

"Well, I fit it." A wry smile.

“As long as no one tries to put up statues here.”

"Doesn't seem the kind of place!"

Jimmy comes in and says "the usual, please, Brock"

And Brock goes "i'm begging you, Jimmy. Cut down on the hard stuff"

"I'm just a wild and reckless guy" The piskie asserts.

Brock winks knowingly at him, and gets the guy his Irish coffee, minus the irish

Symon tilts his head in that direction. “Hey, Jameson.”

She up-nods.

A look around "Symon? Sam. Hey. " He sees they are playing Battleship and gives a upnod of his own "old school cool around here huh?"

“Yeah. You want next game? Loser buys drinks.”

"Sure" He says "But I warn you, I've finally learned to master coffee. Gives me the energy of a dozen Jimmys"

"Woo?"

And with that, Jimmy watches as the clash of titans unfolds! Ready to play the inevitable victor
