Sylvi jots down a note: Check w/ Prof Wayburton re: Greek comedies

"Soooo...would, like, the girls in Little Shop be like a Greek chorus? I mean, I know they're called the chorus, but is it the same thing?"

"An argument could be made for it, yes. And the Oompa Loompas in Willy Wonky and the Chocolate Factory" she smiles

Sylvi blinks and puts her pen down before intoning: "Mind. Blown."

THat gets a few chuckles from others, but it also gets nods. Clearly that classic was shown to them whike young and impressionable

After a moment, Sylvi asks, "So...does that happen in other cultures? I mean, ones that have theater but not a history of Greek influence?"

"Oh you guys," the professor says slipping "I SO want to bring up some ancient storytelling and the like from Asia. Let's just say India's dramatic theatre did not start with 'Bollywood' not that I would slander Dadasaheb Phalke . China too. Let's just say, whenever a culture makes traditional 4th walls, someone ALWAYS shows up to say 'what if we had someone who ignored that?'" A smile
