The football clouds are everywhere, Chimerical clouds that drop football chimera like bouncy pigskin hailstones!

It's relatively harmless, but a bit annoying as it bangs against the roof of the lodge.

Kerri glances up after a sudden barrage, and sighs. "Tis the season."

Still, she's not really upset. In fact, she's putting the final touches on some game-day food platters.

"Echo likes it," He says as the dogs in the area have more balls than they know what to do with, even if they're not proper spheres, "The horses are less than impressed."

"Well, they'll manage. I'll make sure they get extra oats."

It's no coincidence that this year's snack board includes several Puerto Rican dishes, like pasteles stuffed with slow-roasted pork. Flan is being kept cool in the fridge for later.

He chuckles and nods , noting the food, "Want me to get the hats with the Bunny years for the half time when it comes around?"

"Oooh! Yes, perfect touch!"

"Funny thing? If it weren't for the narrow minded bastards not knowing Puero Ricans are Americans I never would have known about Bad Bunny," He admits and gets the hats in reach.

"Well, I'd heard of him, but this is going to be the first time I actually hear his music. Here, taste the pollo guisado." She offers him a little sauce from the chicken dish on a wood spoon to him.

He takes a taste, Mmm "I like it. Got a spice on it I can't name but I like it."

"Well, there's a big mix of flavors in there. Glad you like it!"

"It's nice, I'm looking forward to you culturaliizing my palate again."

She grins. "You've never been a picky eater, exactly. Just occasionally unimaginative."

"the way my wife cooks? let's just say there's a reason I still do long hikes. Otherwise I'd have a spare tire you could drive on." He faux grumbles and pats at his body.

She pats said belly fondly. "Dad bods are in style."

"NOPE, nope nope, vanity has me fighting to keep it trim. My face I can't help, but this? Crunches and squats ...even if Echo looks at me like I'm having an attack."

She chuckles. "Well, your efforts are appreciated. Me, I've got to make sure I don't get too much of the Mrs Incredible butt."

He leans around her, checks his wife's rear out "IS there such a thing as too much of the Mrs. Incredible Butt?"

A playful pout, and she shoves his shoulders. "Brat."

"Go, play with some dogs. I have stuff to do."

He chuckles as he takes the shove and steps back a half step to show his respect, "Hey, you were beautiful when I first saw you, and you're beautiful now, and no less lovely just because you change with the seasons. "

Okay, he pretty clearly won some points on that. She smiles and gives him a wink. "Nice save."

He grins "Thanks. " He calls out "Come on, Echo, let's play some ball" And heads out.

Leaving Kerri to work her magic, with BUnny ears on if she wishes!

Kerri watches him go. It's not a bad view at all.
