Olgar pulls out the thread and needle, the surgical ones, and begins to stitch his wound closed as best he can. Yes, the cookies provide healing, but he finds it heals faster if he does this first. Besides, he just fed the more potent cookie to his dog, Echo, who is looking much better, "Good boy, Echo. Hell of a fight. Now, let's not make a fuss. It's two in the morning and..."

Echo who once only dreamed of having a home maybe healed up, but there's still chimerical blood on his fur, and a few bloody pawprints to go along with his masters boot prints of b lood and dirt. He sniffs at them. Olgar says "Oh yeah, I'll have to get that before anyone wakes up. Good catch."

Apparently Olgar's voice rumbles enough that Kerri heard it from upstairs. "Olgar?" Sleepy and yawning, she appears at the top of the stairs in a bathrobe.

"I swear she's got better ears than you do some nights" Olgar mutters to the dog then calls up "Sorry, hon. Got back late from patrol." He grabs a beer so he won't be lying "I'm grabbing a beer."

It's a plausible explanation, sure...but after this many years of marriage, she knows his tells. "Yeah?" she asks dubiously as she makes her way downstairs. "Um...Honey?"

"Yeah?" Olgar winces realizing the prints and mess.

"Samhain's not until next month, so it's a little early for decorating with bloody tracks in the main hall."

"Well, I didn't want to mess up the kitchen entrance," His voice comes from the kitchen, of course. "I DO have a beer. WOuldn't lie to you there."

"I never doubted that for a second." With a sigh, she goes to join him in the kitchen. "Let me see."

He has done a pretty good stitching job considering it was one handed. Looks like he patched up his fore arm, and thigh, both left side. "There was a bit of a tiff on patrol."

Olgar sighs "Did I just say 'tiff'? I used to cuss like a sailor before we had a daughter."

She frowns at the wounds. "You need to start carrying a shield or something." Her hands are gentle but firm as she inspects his work. "Well...okay, it'll do. Want a little zap to boost it along?"

"And our daughter probably curses more than you do, these days."

"Well, I might have given Echo the last of the healing cookies. He waas torn up." Olgar says "But if you want to do the old fashioned heatherbalm? WHo am I to stop you. I collected enough scars in my youth that I got nothing to prove." At the mention of Sylvi cursing, he chuckles, "The apple might have picked up some bad habits from the tree. Yeah."

She looks over his wounds, it looks like someone carved him with a blade. A chimerical one fortunately.

"Both trees, honey. Give me my due." She gets a clean, soft cloth and carefully dabs away blood from the sutured wounds, each gesture gathering and spreading glamour like a salve. She finishes by wrapping them with bandages that seem to soothe on their own. "What was it?" she asks as she works.

"I do seem to recall you calling me an asshole with some very creative addendums in our early dating years. That's how I knew I had to have you," Olgar chuckles, then at the question, he says "Fought another troll, and his chimerical companion. A damned Honey Badger chimera. Made of real honey, but with teeth. A formal challenge over the bridge. I wanted to look at his pack as I heard sounds that sounded like a kid crying for help. He said no. We challenged aNd fought. I won. Turns out the pack did NOT have a kid in it. But rather a treasure called the box of tears. The other troll thought I might be trying to steal it from him." Olgar snorts "Like I was some corrupt cop. He apologized after the fight. and I sent him on his way."

Echo snorts. As if agreeing that the audacity of such was uncalled for.

She shakes her head at the story. "Some idiots just make life harder for themselves." She finishes wrapping the bandages, and finishes her cantrip with a kiss to his forehead. Then she looks over at the dog and sees all the blood on him. "Oh, Echo!"

Echo's wounds are almost all patched up. Truly he did get a lot of cookies. But he is a Furry MESS and needs a bath.

Olgar looks at his own former injuries, now healed by his wife "Great work as always, Kerri."

She's relieved when she realizes the wounds are healed, but sighs at the task of a 2 am dog bath.

Olgar sees the look "I bathe him, you mop the prints quick?"

A grin to Olgar. "You too, husband." He gets a proper kiss this time.

Then she asks, "Are you sure you're up for it after that?"

"Manly pride is a trap, but it's one I let get me now and then," He looks her over, "Dog and I will get a shower together, he'll love that, and then I'll come to bed after I dry him off." Echo is trying to slip towards the door as he hears the word 'bathe' and 'shower'... Fae hounds are SMART.

"Stay," Kerri orders before Echo can slip away. "That works," she says to Olgar, and gives him a swat on his arm that wasn't recently wounded. "Get going." She tidies up the healing kit with easy efficiency.

Echo stays but looks sulky about it. Olgar gets swatted and nods then looks to Echo "If it makes you feel better, she used to insist I showered too." A few orders, and the dog is going to his doom... well, to the bathroom. Olgar gives his wife a kiss, "If you fall aslseep before I get there, it's all good. I'm fine really."

She returns the kiss, then a wink. "We'll see. Go on." And she gets to work with the mop and bucket.

And Olgar wisely leaves his bloody boots in one place so they don't track more, and picks the huge dog up, and carries Echo to the bathroom "Come on you big baby. You can fight a honey badger but you fear a bath?" He loves the dog but reserves the right to mock. And Kerri? well, it's not so hard to wipe along specific trails. So she finishes first and...yeah, she might be asleep when her husband comes in all clean and dry, or she might... not. But really, is that anyone else's biz?
