"Cleo suggested you," Ylva admits.

"I got paid a dollar if I'd come here, and I am starting to think it was a bad investment" Swilla observes

"You should have held out for more," Ylva agrees

"I KNOW right?" THe cap observes

Layne claps "See, Ylva, you don't want Swilla to feel cheated, so already you're looking out for someone. How NICE of you"

Swilla mutters "Holy shit she's for real"

Ylva's own eyes widen

They're suddenly a bit scared.

"Furking nightmare is what it is... yeah I remember your troll and sluagh," Otho says "Scamper couldn't say much I could hear but the scrawny creeper sure was brave... and Hauls was even more fearless. We all owe em big"

Olgar brings in all the refugees, thanking the god of badasses for Sally Mae being here right now. He can cook, he can, but not as quickly, cleanly, or well as a lot of others. Still, he pauses "Scamper and Hauls?"

"You hard of hearing?" Otho asks even as he helps an exhausted Goldy onto a chair

"NAH, just storing away those for later" Olgar nods and helps Derva too "You okay, kiddo?"

Derva has her hand to her pocket, where her only coins remain "Yeah. I... I'm good."

She remembers the gift mostly. She thinks there are somethings she's glad she forgot.

Beldame has already slipped away from the increasingly crowded table. They have food for her, properly aged, but the crone just feels too open in this huge lodge and with so many. Then she sees the childling ihn the rafters and manages a weak smile. then a 'follow me' gesture starts up, and... Beldame nods then whispers "Pardon, Rover. I have other options "

"You sure?" Olgar says after he realizes what she said. He almost didn't make it out.

"Indeed. I am quite sure. Care for the young ones. The young girls of today should be treasured, for they are the crones of tomorrow." She insists

"I'll remember that" Olgar says, tempted to get that saying on a T shirt "Safe travels" He then gets called to other duties

By the time he is helped serve dishes, the sluagh is gone. He turns back to see Majestix telling the tale to Sally Mae, flirting not so lightly. Gutter is just eating, thank goodness for the cauldron. REALLY getting the meat in.

Pudge insists on helping in the kitchen "Please, it's a joy to do this WILLINGLY again"

Sally Mae fusses, "You're as bad as some folks at the farm" But she says it kindly, then says "If the Storm don't mind I might suggest a few of you visit IF you like or want to try farm living"

Goldy begins to cry and Sally mae says "Or not?"

PUdge rushes forward "It's her family... she was ... away four years. And now..."

"Oh honey" Sally Mae says 'Your folks will be confused but they'll love you all the same. And I have a magic uncle who can help them.. not worry too much"

Olgar arches a brow as Sally Mae volunteers Mountain Emmit for Brainwiping.

But Goldy cheers "Honest Possum?"

Somewhere Emma may feel her ears burn

"Honest Possum" Sally Mae assures

"Okay, " Olgar says "We'll get Emmit's help" He looks at the number "We're gonna need to use the lakehouse but you folks wwill like it"

"Sounds fancy," Majestix says

"It's nice" Olgar admits. He doees NOT admit that he sometimes goes there to clean up, and sometimes goes there just to veg free of Lodge drama.

But that's no longer an option anyway. With the Storm title, there's just less room

"I think we should mostly stay together for a bit, if that's okay, Mr. Storm?" Pudge says

"Yeah, of course" Olgar says as food continues to flow "We've got cha. One thing I can say about Rivervale" He looks out a window "It has a way of holding you close when you need to be held." Hope you're okay out there, Dags and Sy . Treasure or no, make it home.
