Lady O takes the half apple sweetly, happy horse gestures. Ylva pets her gently "You're just so darn nice, Lady O."

As for Bucky, he sticks his head out and looks around often.

Avenger still remains distrustful by nature. It'll take sometime to win him over, and while he's not violent, he's definitely NOT for childlings

Dagmar holds out the apple half, hand flat - the best position to protect fingers from teeth.

Bucky sniffs, and then, takes it. His guard lowering though not dropping

"Someone is wound a little tight" Another voice, Gerd speaks up. She is leaning against a stable wall with her eyes closed. It almost looks like she's hiding?

"I mean the horse, not you" Gerd adds

"Well, he belonged to a Balor."

"You're right, it's amazing he's so well adjusted" she admits

A gentle nose-pat for Bucky. "Good boy."

Bucky seems baffled. Gestures of affection? He didn't DO anything to get one of those. It's odd. Did he win a joust when he wasn't looking?

Gerd chuckles "he reminds me a bit of you when you came in first. I mean, you had reason to be guarded but you had walls"

"Patience will go a long way. I think Star misses Stormwake. So she's not quite ready for new friends yet."

"I hear that. Patience is about the only thing that kept me from dropping Swilla in the lake... well, that and the lake is too darn cold for that and I don't know if the redcap can swim. I know what she faces, I know why she sees food as her comfort... it's similar to my own problem... but wow, she's gonna take a finger off if she doesn't reign it in. She got Olgar's hand did you know that? I mean, it's still there but ... anyway, The Chief and the Storm think I might be able to help her and I guess I'm the best qualified, but if you've got a cup of patience to spare I'd love to borrow one"

Grunt. ("You can have what patience I have to spare, but good luck.")

"She might need a real damn therapist."

"Just because you've been through shit doesn't make it your responsibility, y'know?"

A brow lift "Mmm?" ("What's tapped your jug of patience?") Shared sympathy in the eyes

"She is getting one, as soon as we can arrange it... busy schedules to find the ones who can work with a kithain " A nod "And, well, the lodge is taken her in. That means she's one of us, and we look out for each other" A sigh "I admit my growing Unseelie side is feeling a bit less happy about that."

"I get kinda possessive when I'm in my winter clothes."

A nod at Ylva and Lady O. "Think I got the right horse for the new kid, though."

A nod at the posessive part, "Well, I can't judge there. " At mention of Ylva and Lady O she peeks around to see and goes "Oh yeah, Lady O has Ylva wrapped around her forehoof. You really did have the right idea of which horse we could use for the lodge. I'm not a horse person and even I can't help but give her pats when I walk by."

Ylva seems to be leaning against the horse for strength a bit, and Lady O lets her.

"Seems balanced, kinda. The lodge needed her, and Bucky here needs the Lodge."

"It does doesn't it?" She nods "is it Bucky who is testing your patience then?"

"Mm." No.

"mmm?" ("Then who..?") she does the math "Mmph" ("Oh.") Sympathetic look again.

Then a beat, and said dead pan "If it's still not frozen, want me to flash her over the lake?"

"No." Firmly. ("She's a kid.")

Rueful smile ("Had to ask") then she says "Siv does not like her. Me? I haven't had trouble with her..yet. I worry she's going to ire Brogan, and he's a fellow kid and a vengeful one. I don't think she likes nobles. Maybe Sylvi can talk to her... she's a rebel alliance commander type"

"I don't feel much like a 'noble,' really. Knight or no."

"And Chief Kerri had knight hood thrust on her back in the day" A shake of her head, "It's often complicated. Sometimes a past life kicks it forward, other times you get pressured, and yes, a lot of hard working non sidhe EARN it. Me? I think you're a classic shining knight in a lot of ways, honorable, saving people in need, a shield to the many, and sworn to higher ideals, but you're also 'just Dagmar the Kitten snuggler, beloved friend of the equine, and defender of the cute and fuzzy'.. and you know? Both are good folks to know"

"I mean, I like the idea of playing paladin."

"Always makes Symon roll his eyes at the table top games when you do" She smiles "But then, he still adores that about you no matter what he says, and you like poking at him. Out of game? I would say you more than 'play' at it. You strive for it... kind of like I want to be a witch, in the cool and good sense. Both of us mess up, but what the heck, we're half human" She looks embarrassed "I botched a spell working the other night by the way... I owe Kerri a new Broom. I cast windrunner on it... and.. well, it took off without me." A groan

"Oof. Thinking of making one, or buying one?"

A pause. "If you wanted a flying broom, maybe making one from scratch would make the cantrip stick better?"

"I've done the flying broom trick before, but it was store bought. Thankgoodness so was this one. I'd hate to lose one of Kerri's personal" She ponders "Make my own eh? That's not a bad idea. I think a store bought for the replacement, or maybe ask you or your mom to smooth the wood? I want Aunt Kerri to have quality"

She nods.

"I'm really not that good at carving, but the old man was... maybe I can pick up some of his old skills there" The old man being her past life.

"I could show you."

"I don't want to abuse our friendship, you do a lot around here"

"I offered, didn't I?"

"You did, and okay, but I'll owe you one"

"Well, darn trolls are like that" She taps her own horns

"I love Uncle Vali but sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't have been easier for us if I'd been a boggan "
