"BEHMO!" Frankie says with joy as she's picked up.

A deep chuckle, and she turns to Frank. "I think she is saying bestemor...grandmother."

She looks back to Frankie and takes the girl's tiny hand, touching it to her face. "Bestemor," she says carefully, then touches the girl's hand to her own face. "Doturbarn."

Frank watches, his beard shifting slightly.

Siv DOES smile at that "I've been talking to them a lot in Norwiegan... I didn't think they'd pick it up" Proud

She moves Frankie closer to Frank to pat his shoulder. "Farfar."

A slight grin and a shrug to Frank. "I will not insist you use that."

"I've been called worse."

"Please, Da. I'm trying to teach them while they're young so it helps" Siv adds

A chuckle, and Frankie gets bounced gently as Brekke moves to take a seat on one of the long benches.

Frank walks with her, attentive to the baby, and sits with her.

Vali observes "Littlle Frankie might grow up to be a viking raider"

Jonas speaks up deadpan "Perhaps, but let's not press too hard to excel. We will be satisfied if she's merely a lawyer or doctor when she grows up."

Siv actually smiles with real warmth at the exchange

Bemused. "Perhaps she will be able to explore the Dreaming at some point, along with her brother." She looks around to check where Valr has gotten to.

Valr is in the playpen still, and looking a bit jelous of his sister

Meanwhile, Kerri is avoiding being overwhelmed by resorting to the familiarity of Hearth tasks. "I'll bring the meat out to you in a second, Olgar." A pause and a little grin. "Storm Olgar."

"Thanks, Chief" Olgar smiles'

Sally Mae hurumphs "Lord love a duck, Chief, let Brogan and I handle things tonight."

Kerri gives Olgar a brief wide-eyed look, then a smile and a nod. When Sally Mae makes the suggestion, the considers it, then says, "You know...that's not a terrible idea. Thank you, both," to her and Brogan, and then she follows Olgar to claim a sudden kiss!

Olgar returns the kiss, then when it ends says "Fantastic idea"

Dagmar helps!

Apparently, public displays of affection might not be as rare with this Chieftain.

Bringing out food, refreshing trays, setting pans of seconds in the oven to warm...

Brekke has started murmuring a little nursery rhyme to Frankie.

Valr is picked up by Siv, "Oh stop fussing." But she smiles "Our big boy"

Kerri gives Dagmar a grateful nod. She knows the knight knows what she's doing.

Dagmar has been trained well - and Kerri also knows that being busy like this helps with the wilder's anxiety.

Indeed. She's not going to suggest Dagmar do anything other than what she's doing. Instead, she makes a point of checking in with everybody individually, starting with Vali. "I think that went well."

Frankie loves the nursery rhyme

Oak and Eddie are hanging together in quiet canine communication

Normally Eddie finds her brother annoying, but today she's being almost sweet to him

Vali looks over , "I'm glad. Never done any ceremony quite like that before. So, how's the big hat feeling?"

Kerri takes a steadying breath before answering. "I think...I'll know better in the morning." She looks to the balefire, watching the flames dance and spark.

"They will shift some, but it will be slow" Vali says of the flame "It knows you as Hearth, and that gives you a headstart, but this the Balefire's first time without Brekke joined. We shouldn't tax it too much over the next few days." He advises

Kerri nods. "Good thinking. Dreaming willing, there will be no need to tax it, and plenty of opportunities to strengthen it."

Vali nods then smiles "Do I get to call you baroness now?"

A pointed look. "No. To clarify: Hell, no. Only if we're trying to impress snootier nobles."

Vali's eyes sparkle "Right. You still control the food supply so... I'll watch the Baroness talk."
