It may just be that Dagmar arrives a little before Kerri does, as the mother is possibly having a talk for details with Sylvi at Goldfinch, or have met Dirk there

The bike rumbles to a stop outside, and the knight heads into the lodge. The bird is still there, alert and watchful from its perch - perhaps its propensity to gaze reflects the heart sheltered in its ribcage.

"HEy! " Olgar says "What's the news and..."

He notes the bird "Congrats?"

The smell of pizza,, including Dagmar's favorite fills the room

A flush of purple. "Uh, hi. He doesn't have a name, I don't think." One doesn't usually see Trueheart birds, unless the Oath is broken, but there is something resonant with this one...

"Oh, is that pineapple?"

"Yeah, the pizza on far end... Vali says it's a violation but I remembered you liked it" Olgar said "Hey, everyone okay?" He says everyone but his eyes are looking for his wife and Sylvi

Vali looks a bit ragged, like he was sick for awhilie but now on the mind "Keep that pineapple away from the REAL Pizzas" He smiles "How's Symon?"

"He's home, and hopefully actually getting that shower and bed. Though he has to get through his mom first, soooo..." She opens the hawaiian box. "Kerri was taking Sylvi to Goldfinch first, guess I beat her here."

"Vali, you look like crap."

Olgar looks relieved, then nods "Glad you guys cleaned things up, and glad Symon is hope. I missed the litte A-hole. Too Many Seelie around here" A twinkle in his eye to show he's not THAT offended.

"Symon's good." Her mouth tugs to the side in a satisfied smile. "We're good."

"Nice to see you too, Hammerstrike" Vali chuckles "I got caught in a vision. I didn't move fast enough so.. my timing.. was not helpful. Sorry about that. But I'm glad you guys came up on top. Is a certain Clurichaun no longer a problem?"

A brief scowl, but it settles. "She's gone. Don't think she'll be missed."

"Not, like GONE gone, just run out of town."

"Well, she's banished from the Barony, the Chief and I talked about that and I bet the Heath will agree" Vali says "SHe might be a master of her art, but she's got SHIT for judgement\ and ethics. I wish her ill, I'd like to say well, but there's a Gwydion in the room"

Olgar snorts "I don't sweat small shits, and she sounds like a small shit." He hands Dagmar a Dr. PEpper from the fridge, "Here you go, Champ"

"Mmph." She takes the pop while chewing on a mouthful of the abomination pineapple pizza.

"Ugh, she even likes it openly, the shame" Vali comments, "Dagmar, are you injured or anything?"

She swallows and shakes her head. "Nah. Feeling pretty good, actually. Didn't get hurt in the fight, Flyswatter didn't break when it kinda got stuck in the wall, all the treasure-buzz is gone..." A momentary frown and she rubs at her sternum.

Ah, there's that hint of chill, a touch of banality.

It took background to the excitement and oathtaking, but it's still there.

Valii nods "Sounds like a quest in the dreaming might do YOU some good actually" He says "Touch of the chill inside?"

A little frown again and she nods. "Fixable, right?"

"It's kinda like having a splinter. Not bad, but... yeah, I can feel it."

"There are methods and ways. I would suggest hanging near the fire tonight if Kerri hasn't already told you to. Glamour can be used to eat away at middling banalty, a quid pro quo sort of thing" Vali nods "And we don't want you forgetting who you are to make it happen. Time in the Dreaming also helps."

"Too much time in the Dreaming has the OPPOSITE problem" Olgar snorts "Don't worry kid, some have died chimerically and been far worse off than you chill wise and still been productive members of changeling society"

She claims another slice of pizza, folding it in half to eat it. "Yeah. Kerri said. I'll text my parents and let them know."

"Not going for bedlam, I know. And, like, a splinter is worth it."

"The dreaming is still good idea, on quest ain't gonna send you in the funny farm" Olgar amends "Well it could , but not likely"

A grin flashes briefly, like a sunburst. "Symon and I are oathmates."

"You're a real inspirational speaker, Olgar," Vali observes, then the Oathmate news and Vali grins "That's.. that's wonderful! I always thought it might happen, had some clues but good to see you two made it official. WHich Oath if I may ask?"

Olgar takes the news with an unsurprised nod, "Glad you two got to it. You've both been wanting to for awhile. Am I right?"

"Our own oath. Truehearts didn't quite fit. Neither did Clasped Hands. So just... ours."

THAT Pleases Olgar "Good on you, doing it your way! Now Kerri wanted the classic" Ignoring he did as well "But you two are special order"

"If you and Symon don't mind," Vali says "I'd love a record of what was said so I can pass it down to future generations who might also be a special order and need some template? Mountain related"

"We're two odd ducks. I'll ask him how he feels about sharing it. It's... personal, and new, and..." a little roll of her hand, turning her palm up.

"And you two have priorities to each other that come first" Vali nods

She bobs her head. "He's my person." A mix of expressions - happiness, but a bit of surprise as she blurts that out, and a brief flush of purple at being so open about it.

The little bird flutters it's smoky-iridescent feathers, but the heart in it's ribcage chest glows happily with her flush.

"He's been your person for awhile" Olgar says "But glad you two figured it out" A troll chuff ("Finally")

She bobs her head. "Yeah. It feels good. Sturdy."

Vali takes a bit of his own pizza the PROPER way, and between chews nods "Some non trolls think Oaths are a chain, but it's what you say, a foundation to stand strong on."

She nods. "Exactly. I'm just glad he's back to himself, I'd be content with that. That's all I was really hoping for. But instead, it's... it's actually better."

Olgar says "Well, when Symon gets here, whenver that is, we're going to him some of Kerri's best food plus a vintaged 2 weeks. Stored for him, green lid. The rest of us? Not bad pizza I ordered. I figured Kerri deserved a break

"The pizza IS good. Lucia's folks know their stuff" A munch from Vali "I am taking it if I try to make a surprise oathing party for you and him, I won't need Gerd to end up in the lake?"

"Correct."

"I never get to have any fun with people anymore" Vali sighs dramticly
