"Hey" Olgar gives his daughter a hug as she visits home "Been too long"

"Hey, Dad." She returns the hug, giving him a squeeze that does nothing to challenge his toughness.

"Bit crazy here. We got 'applicants'" He says "But your room is clean and ready for the weekend"

A relieved grin. "Excellent." She's brought in several suitcases and bags of things, and she sets them in a neat grouping near the bottom of the stairs. "How are the 'applicants' looking?"

"Well, only one I've seen regular iss Ylva. A childling. I think she has some sidhe trauma, but she's a good egg."

"So she's likely? Anybody irregular?" she asks with a smirk.

"Humph, I keep hoping. "

"Oh, Mountain threw out a norse surpremicist"

"Oh, geez, not one of those." An eyeroll.

"Yeah... Vali said she was a piece of work"

"I like hearing the past tense in that. Hey, think there's Dr. Pepper in the fridge?"

"Yeah, I stocked up when you told us you were coming for the weekend " He assures

Indeed, there are at least 6 cold ones up front and center

A happy sigh as she takes one. "Want a beer, Dad?"

"Would not say no. It's a bit in the back, thanks"

She passes it over, then opens her soda. "We always have some of this in the apartment, but I like to save it for Dagmar. The other stuff's fine."

He takes it and drinks "Mmmph. I'll ask your mom to keep an eye out for coupons for it"

"Oh, it's okay." She drinks and savors a bit, then takes a deep breath. "Dad, can I ask you something?"

"Anytime" he assures

A pause. "Have you ever had to deal with somebody being under some kind of charm?"
