"Um...so..." Sylvi actually raises her hand. "What does this mean for Goldfinch? I mean...does it have to change anything there?"

"Spoken modestly" Vali observes to Olgar, but then nods at mention of Alaska

Frank might be mildly irritated by Olgar's question, but he says nothing when Brekke answers.

"........" An idea, which concerns her.

"If we can work out all the details," Brekke answers Sylvi, "then nothing need change for Goldfinch. That is, if Rivervale's future leader agrees. And that is part of why I wish to keep these changes 'in the family' as it were. If the Count had insisted on installing a sidhe who might make huge changes to the barony and the local freehold, this would have been far more complicated."

She notes Dagmar's expression, and nods for her to speak.

"Will you be... like... totally relocating to Alaska?" Trying to keep her tone from betraying the fear behind that question.

A pause before answering. "Yes."

Her eyes flare wide, and she tangles her fingers together in a tight tangle. "oh."

Brekke notes this, and she says to all, "I think there is little more to say now as a group. I would wish you all to consider this, and tell me what you think as soon as you may." She pushes back from the table and stands. "Please know, I have more faith and trust in all of you and your abilities than I could have ever asked for. Now...Dame Dagmar, come and walk with me."

She steps away from the table, resting a hand on Frank's shoulder briefly as she passes him.

She rises.

She waits at the door for Dagmar to join her, and then they head out, leaving the others to react to the news as they see fit.

And so, the meeting, at least part of it, fades or at least breaks into smaller groups
