Finally he finishes up

Kerri is somewhat surprised to find him in the Lodge and doing...something. "Vali? Ha, for a moment you were so quiet, I almost mistook you for Earl. I didn't hear you arrive."

"Been here for a while actually, just finalizing ceremonies and reports regarding glamour and more. Portent readingg too"

"Oh? Can you give me any details?" She rather expects that he can and should.

"Well, the notes are here, mostly sticking with last years systems for ceremony." he offers up the notes

"But some of the portents.. what I can share" Reminding her his House has...restrictions "Indicate that someone of Bergen may find new dreams"

She looks the reports over with a practiced eye and nods. "This is all good." Then a curious look. "Any inkling of who?"

"No, but it is possiblle one of us will find the new blood OUTSIDE of our domain... which has me very curious if our Chief and He-Chief have found someone in Alaska" He smiles as he uses the phrase Jack Flap uses for Frank

"Hm. It's possible, isn't it?" And a grin for the names. "I expect they'll be back soon."

"I hope so... no offense, you've been a great Chief pro tem, and Dagmar is a good storm stand in for her age, but I'll feel a wee bit more secure when we're up at our regular strength" He ponders "Though to be fair, Squire Valter is a patroling machine"

"We're well-staffed, but I'll be glad to have them back. The 'Fire's going to start getting moody if the Chieftain's away much longer, I think."

"I told you about the cauldron, didn't I?" making sure it didn't get lost in the shuffle.

"You did. I kenned it myself. The EAST direction is... interesting" He says "it's a powerful item, and I feel responsible. As Mountain I should have seen to its spiritul needs. It's just ..well, so much YOUR Cauldron in my mind I neglected its upkeep. " A frown "Sorry about that"

She shakes her head. "Not your fault, it's more my territory. And it's not quite so much a matter of upkeep as proper usage. Not being thanked, three times in a row, is what sent it into a tailspin, not a lack of attention to its glamour level."

"Manners are still a ceremony and in this case a magical one. I should have kept an eye out. And will from now on. How do you think we should spread word about making sure it gets thanked every time? A sign near it? Or just a talk to folks?"

"I think a sign near it, in fine calligraphy and framed, would be fitting. Something like: Thank the Cauldron, or Face the Wrath of the Hearth!"

"I do have to figure out the East component. I don't suppose you've had any glimmerings? My first thought is to turn to the chef I worked with last summer, but I'm happy to hear options."

He blinks "The... did you just say 'the Wrath of the ..." A chuckle " The Wrath of the Hearth?"

She tilts her head and crosses her arms. "You doubt there's potential wrath?"

"Because trust me, if the cauldron gets misused again, there will be Wrath."

He can't help it, he looks ceiling ward and mimes yelling "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNN!"

She purses her lips and tries to invoke a wrathful look...but is clearly holding back a laugh.

She breaks a moment later. "Okay, okay, fine. I still think it would make a good sign."

"It might, but you have been warned about Pooka fall out." A smile "I think a wooden sign by the Chief as a reminder IS a good idea. Classy. As for the East? Have you considered Sea food? We have sailors who can litterally take you to the antlatic, fish, and either bring it back here or cook it on the ship"

A blink. "Would that count? I mean...I suppose it could."

"I'll have to look into that. As to the rest, I've sent missives out to the Farm and to Silverwolf. I'll hit Jessica's staff up for something soon, but I want things to calm down post-Holger, just a bit."

"Ahem. yeah, Childlings on quests. I suddenly feel very bad for worrying everyone when I did it"

"Now he gets it," she says wryly.

"Yeah yeah, bit late to write everyone an apology card" He smiles though

"You're serving as Mountain. That's sufficient penance."

"Now...I have to get started on making quite a lot of food. Excuse me, please, Mountain."

"Now that I believe. And, of course. Consider the sea travel path for East. I DO think it would work" And he salutes

"Noted!" she says, tipping a wave in return as she vanishes into the kitchen.

And he gets back to his own tasks, though this time, he's doing a few bills for his own house.
