With Frank and Brekke away, Dagmar finds herself acting as a kind of Stand in Storm, She IS a Bolt of the Storm after all

Kerri seems perfectly willing to accept Dagmar as Storm-temp, and helps her assign patrols if necessary.

"Where to, boss?" Tig grins at Dagmar

Brow-furrow.

"West side, especially that playground."

"On it" The thane gives a troll salute with no sarcasm there, and goes

Kerri watches him go, then looks to Dagmar. "Anything you need me to check on?"

She shakes her head. "We need you keeping the home front. Should be quiet, but you never know."

"Sounds good. If anything does come up that requires supplies, let me know."

"Dr. Pepper?"

"Ooo, yes please."

Soon enough, a cold can of her favored nectar is in her hand.

"So, besides these duties, everything else going okay?"

"Yeah?"

"Maisey came to visit, that was unexpected."

"A good kind of unexpected?"

"Um." Purple.

"Yeah? Maisy's nice."

"She's a friend from school. A satyr."

Kerri grins a bit and takes a seat nearby. "I think I caught a glimpse of her. Long hair."

"Oh jeez, yeah, SO much hair."

"Is she on the track team, too?"

She shakes her head.

"She's in a sorority. More satyrs, there."

"Oh! I figured, satyr, running..." A shrug.

"One of her friends is on the team! Khloe!"

"A sorority of satyrs. That's an image!"

"She does hurdles."

"I mean, they are Greek? So it works, I think."

"I suppose that would, yes. Khloe's nice, too?"

"Uh-huh. They're all

nice"

"Good. I was a little concerned, to be honest. When you came back on weekends or breaks, you sometimes were pretty troubled. But I'm glad there's a core of people there that you like. Maybe even trust."

"I do miss home. And Symon's been eaten by his girlfriend again." Huff.

Kerri's expression grows more serious. "That's so very odd, those two."

A DEEP frown.

"Okay, so, listen, I'm not... I'm not jealous, okay? I don't have a right to be jealous, Sy's my friend, and he deserves a girlfriend if he wants one, and..."

Kerri listens, gives her room to keep talking.

"But something's not... right... there."

"I have the same feeling. But...I'm biased, I fear."

A pause. "May I suggest...?"

"Yeah?"

"Whether or not you have a 'right' to have feelings about the situation...I think you might want to trust your instincts there. Sylvi's also muttered similar things about her."

"Have you been able to talk with him?"

"A little bit." Worried.

"I miss him."

An empathetic look. "That doesn't surprise me."

"You told him that?"

"Not exactly."

"Last thing I want to do is guilt him or make him go away even more."
